Chelsea defender Christensen announces excitement at £87 million summer arrivals

Andreas Christensen has opened up and revealed his excitement at the arrivals of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner.

Chelsea have already generated plenty of headlines in the transfer market having sealed the signings of Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, as they seek to close the gap on Liverpool and challenge for that Premier League title next season.

But bringing in top players, and looking to add a few more in the transfer window, means that there will be alot of pressure on Lampard to be a success at Chelsea next season, especially as they will need to win a trophy or two.

But with the pair on their way to the club in the coming weeks, Christensen is excited about the future of this Chelsea squad, and is excited about what they pair can bring to the club

He said: “I played against Werner quite a few times when I was in Germany so I know what he can do and what sort of player he is.

“I haven’t played against Ziyech but I’ve seen him a lot and I think they can both bring good things to the club. We’re all excited to see what they can bring.”

He added: “We are in a process but I think we are way ahead of time,’ he adds. We know what we’re capable of. We feel very comfortable and confident at the moment.

“We have a good balance between experienced people and young, exciting talent and we’re all hungry to reach the same goals.”

Chelsea may be signing the players to sends statements to the rest of the Premier League and may still look to do alot more business in the coming weeks, but we are all hoping that these two players are able to adjust to the Premier League.

They are coming to the best in the game, so they will need to be at their best every week.
