£50M star ‘definitely a player’ Potter wants at Chelsea in January

Brighton star Moises Caicedo is definitely a player that Chelsea are interested in signing in January – Blues fans have been told.

Chelsea have been stuttering as of late under the guidance of Graham Potter and it is widely believed that he will get backed in the January transfer window.

It is no secret that Chelsea are lacking a bit more quality in certain areas of the pitch – and midfield is certainly an area of the pitch that Potter can improve on – and if you believe the words of Simon Phillips – Caicedo is a player that is on the list.

Caicedo has developed into one of the best box-to-box midfielders in the Premier League and a player that is ready to leave Brighton and test himself at a Champions League club – like Chelsea

And the fact that Denis Zakaria will be returning to his parent club Juventus following the conclusion of his loan spell – Journalist Simon Phillips believes that a move for Caicedo will get made –

The journalist told GiveMeSport: “I think the way things are looking at the moment, Chelsea are potentially going to look to bring in two new midfielders within the next two windows.

“And Caicedo is definitely one of them on that list.”

The Premier League season has officially stopped for the World Cup – meaning that Potter will have some time to consider what players he wants to bring to the club – and give the board a chance to get some pre-January agreements done

There has been alot said about the quality of Caicedo and even at that £50 million asking price – he is a player that could make a real difference to that Blues midfield.

So it will be very interesting to see if they actually make a move in the January window
