Man City ‘cant stop’ players from asking for move to join Arteta at Arsenal!
Manchester City will not be able to stop players moving to Arsenal – if they demand it according to reporter Iomie Stanley.
With Mikel Arteta looking to sign some proven Premier League players that would make a real difference to the squad – the Spaniard looked to his old club for a few possible arrivals.
Gabriel Jesus and Oleksandr Zinchenko both made the switch to the Emirates Stadium in the summer and have taken the Gunners to a new level.
Their performances have helped Arsenal sit at the top of the Premier League for the Christmas period and there is a feeling that they will help the club challenge for that title
City were open to selling the duo to Arsenal as they did not view them as Premier League title contenders, but that has now changed with Mikel Arteta’s side leading the reigning champions at the top of the table by five points heading into the World Cup break
And according to recent reports in the Footbal Insider – they will not sell any more players to the Gunners – with the London based club linked with a few stars that are not getting the game time that they want.
However – if you believe the Words of Stanley – City cannot stop stars from asking for a move to the Emirates – he told icfootballnews:’Zinchenko and Jesus were always going to improve that Arsenal side – and Man City must have known that – but they were not expecting such an amazing start to the season from the Gunners.
‘It is probably the right decision to not let any more players make the move to London – as most of that Man City squad can walk into most teams in Europe and would improve any side.
‘But alot of those City players know Arteta – they have seen just how successful Zinchenko and Jesus are right now and they also know that there is a very good chance that they would get alot of game time under the Spaniard.
‘City may not want to sell to Arsenal in the future – but at the end of the day – what can they do if players ask for it?
