Champions will accept £38.5 million offer from Chelsea for wantaway striker!
It has been claimed that Man City have slashed the price of Julian Alvarez – a player that Chelsea are keen on signing.
CHELSEA are looking to add a new striker to the attack over the course of the summer transfer window and add a player that has the ability to score goals on a weekly basis, something that Alvarez has proven at City.
However – with Erling Haaland the number one player under Guardiola – Alvarez is seeing his game time become less and less unless the big man picks up an injury, and at this stage of his career, he wants to play more.
Pep Guardiola is extremely happy with the attacker and there is no desire to lose him, and City would like to keep him , Alvarez has not asked to leave, he just wants a bigger role at the club, though this has spiked Chelsea’s interest
A report has claimed that Manchester City could be open to selling Julian Alvarez for almost half the initially suggested £77million fee.
That figure came from £60million up front with £17million in add-ons, with other outlets saying that between £55million and £65million would make City consider.
Should Chelsea sign Alvarez?
He is a very good striker – a very good option to come off the bench – but he is not the player that CHELSEA needs to bang in goals on a weekly basis – he would really struggle at the Blues.
The striker has plenty of time to decide what is next for him – but right now he is focusing on that Olympics with Argentina – so when that is over – we will find out if he really wants to leave Man City.
But if he does leave – then we are sure that Man City will want to sell him to a foreign club – rather than a Premier League rival
