Come to Real Madrid! Courtois opens up and angers Chelsea fans with Hazard message
Belgian star Thibaut Courtois wants Chelsea ace Eden Hazard to join him at Real Madrid, after sealing his move to the Bernabeu.
Courtois initially moved to Stamford Bridge from Belgian side Genk in the summer of 2011, before spending three seasons on loan at Atletico Madrid, where he was part of a team that won a number of trophies, including the La Liga title in 2014.
He then got his chance at Stamford Bridge and has become one of the worlds very best stoppers after helping the club to two Premier League titles, one FA Cup and one League Cup.
However, after angering Blues fans by leaving the club in such disrespectful fashion, he has now welcomed the idea former team-mate Hazard could join him at the Bernabeu.
He was quoted on the Metro: ‘[Hazard] is very happy that I am here, he is a great player and I would like to be always at his side.
‘Let’s see what happens in the future, if he can come, it would be fantastic.
‘Today I am realising a dream. This is the best club in the world.’
Despite all the rumours, speculation and Hazard coming out and admitting he now fancies a fresh challenge in the game, the Belgian superstar did not get his mega money move away from the club as Maurizio Sarri convinced him to stay for at least one more season.
And in the end it turned out to be a pretty good window for the Italian, as he managed to keep hold of Willian, N’Golo Kante and Hazard while bringing in Kepa, Jorginho and Mateo Kovacic.
However, there is some speculation both Hazard and Kante agreed to stay with the club for one-more year and work under Sarri if they could leave the club in 12 months time.
