Arsenal to make Coutinho move?

Barca wants Coutinho answer, Aubameyang claim made and Arsenal close in on Isak in Arsenal news and gossip….

Barcelona want to know if Arsenal intend to sign Philippe Coutinho this month inside the next 72 hours,

The transfer window is now is full swing and it is widely expected that Mikel Arteta will be backed over the next few weeks, especially as he now has got the club challenging for a top four spot once again.

It is no secret that Arteta wants to add a bit more quality in key areas of the pitch, and there is a big feeling that he wants to secure a transfer deal for Brazilian star Cotuinho.

Coutinho was meant to be the ideal replacement for Andreas Iniesta when he made that move to the Camo Nou, but he has never fulfilled the potential that he showed at Liverpool and has been a massive £137 million flop.

Barca want to get rid of the Brazilian to free up room on their wage bill and are willing to sell him for £7.5million this month, and according to the the Daily Mirror, they are keen to know the answer of Arsenal.

Arsenal are said to prefer a six-month loan with an obligation to make the move permanent for £5m plus add-ons in the summer, and Barcelona have given the Gunners until Wednesday to let them know whether they are willing to pay upfront for Coutinho this month.

A few years ago we would have said that Arsenal would be fools not to try and sign Coutinho, but the man is not the same player he was at Liverpool and considering the Gunners already have a number of midfielders, do they need him?

Yes he is world class and yes he would add a bit more depth, but if he does not play then its just a waste of time, and right now, Arteta has got a very happy camp.

Real Sociedad’s Sweden striker Alexander Isak is tipped for Arsenal this January transfer window

Arsenal are set to be in the market for a new striker at the end of the season with Alexandre Lacazette’s contract set to expire, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s future at the club is in major doubt after he was stripped of the captaincy earlier this month.

There is alot of speculation about Auba’s future, if he will stay, if he will leave and where will he end up, as it seems that Mikel Arteta would like nothing better than to get him off that wage bill.

That has led to some speculation in the media linking Arsenal with the giants Isak, who is tipped to become the next Zlatan Ibrahimovic and a player that could be a great signing for the Gunners.

However, it has been believed that he is heading to Spanish giants Barcelona, as they have been favourites to get a deal done and were reportedly getting ready to announce the transfer of Isak in the coming days.

However, Reports on the Daily Express website have come out and claimed Real will reportedly block the 22-year-old from joining fellow Spaniards Barcelona, And that leaves the Gunners favourites to sign the ex-Borussia Dortmund star.

Emirates boss Mikel Arteta is keen to add another striker to that attack as he needs one in order to get back into the Champions League by the end of the season.

Look, there is no doubt that Arsenal need to add a striker to the attack that will bang in the goals, and although Isak is not quite that player yet, he is a very good striker that has potential to be a big star.

If the reports are true and he is not going to Barcelona, then he would be a player that Gunners fans would surely love to see arrive.

Bakary Sako has admitted that he is trying to convince Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to leave Arsenal and return to St.Etienne.

The striker’s future is up in the air having been stripped of the club captaincy on top of being excluded from the first-team squad since Arsenal took on Southampton almost a month ago.

There is alot of speculation about his future, if he will stay, if he will leave and where will he end up, as it seems that Mikel Arteta would like nothing better than to get him off that wage bill.

He has since left to join up with the Gabon squad for the AFCON, and now St Etienne midfielder Sako has admitted that he is working on convincing him to return to Ligue 1 with him.

“I am trying to attract him,” Sako confirmed as quoted by GFFN. “Wouldn’t you like to see Aubameyang back at St Étienne? We all feel the same. I am very serious when I tell him to come, even if it is in a joking tone.

“I don’t know if it is possible, but I hope he will respond favourably. It is difficult because he has been at Arsenal for a long time, it is not easy to leave London.”

Auba was one of the very best strikers in world football before he signed that massive contract, as since then, he cant even get on the pitch. He is done at the very highest level of the game and Arsenal need to get rid.

He is on a massive contract, that he does not deserve, so the sooner they agree to let him depart the club, the better it will be as he is bringing all bad headlines that the club do not need right now.

But it is a shame to see that his career with Arsenal will end like this.
