Barcelona offer Coutinho to Newcastle as they seek to free up funds for striker Martinez

Barcelona have offered Philippe Coutinho to Newcastle United in an ongoing bid to raise funds that will allow them to launch a raid on Inter for Lautaro Martinez.

There has been alot of transfer speculation, and we mean alot, over the past few months about Newcastle trying to bring the Brazilian star back to the Premier League, with many reports suggesting that he was done at Barcelona and had no future with the club.

And Newcastle are one of the favourites to bring him back to the Premier League, along with the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool, who have both been credited with a possible summer deal over the past few months.

A season-long stint at Bayern Munich has only served to raise further questions of the 28-year-old’s form and fitness , and now reports on the GOAL website have claimed Barcelona are now looking to put another deal in place, with the Liga giants aware that they cannot incorporate another sizeable salary into their plans for 2020-21.

Martinez will cost the club around £100 million to acquire in the summer, with wages that will be close to £300,000-a-week, so they will need to sell in order to add the striker to the side.

We have said it before and we will say it again, Coutinho would be a fantastic signing for the club and one that would send a real statement to the rest of the Premier League, so if the reports are true, then fans will welcome him with open arms.

So if the reports are true and Newcastle have an opportunity to land the man, they would be massive FOOLS not to make a move for a man that could send a real statement to the rest of the Premier League.

But Newcastle are not the only club that has been offered Coutinho and there will reportedly be a few options for the Brazilian to head back to the premier League in the coming window.
