Chelsea in massive transfer talks, Leboeuf sends message over possible Brazilian arrival, Willian to stay Loyal, World Class Italian on way?

Guys here is a roundup of the latest Chelsea news, gossip and transfer rumours from icfootballnews.com over the last 24 hours

Reports have claimed that Chelsea are in talks to sign Barcelona midfielder Philippe Coutinho in the summer window.

Coutinho made a name for himself at Liverpool as one of the best creative midfielders in the game and Barcelona were determined to acquire his services as the long-term replacement for Andreas Iniesta.

However, his move to the Camp Nou has not gone down as well as many had hoped and after the arrival of Antoine Griezmann, he has fallen well down the pecking order, meaning that he was shipped out o Bayern Munich on a loan basis.

The former Liverpool man has impressed in patches with the Bundesliga champions, having an hand in over 20 goals this season for the dominant German Champions, but according there is a feeling that Bayern may not take up the opportunity to sign Coutinho on a permanent basis, meaning Chelsea could swoop in for a possible deal.

Now Spanish newspaper AS claims Frank Lampard has already held talks with the player and his club Barcelona over a Premier League return this summer, as he looks to add some superstar players to his side.

Ands it is believed that Chelsea will be able to complete a transfer deal for Coutinho in the region of £77 million, which is far less that the £142 million that Barcelona spent back at the start of 2018 to secure the Brazilians services.

Look there is a lot of indications suggesting that Willian is leaving, and although that is a massive mistake by the Blues to let him leave, if they could tempt Coutinho to the club at the end of the season, it would be a fantastic move.

Arsenal transfer target Willian has vowed to stay loyal to Chelsea amid the coronavirus outbreak.

Chelsea surprised many in the media over the past few days by completing an early deal to bring Hakim Ziyech to the premier League next season for a small fee of £37 million, with many believing that he is the immediate replacement for the ageing Willian, who has been linked with a move away from the club.

There has been talk that he could be leaving at the end of the season as reports in the media have suggested that Chelsea may not be willing to offer him a new contract because of his age, and may be willing to let him leave the club on a free transfer, with the likes of Juventus and Barcelona eyeing up a possible deal

But despite his impending arrival in the summer, recent reports have claimed the transfer will not impact Willian, and that Chelsea and the stars representatives are still in talks to try and agree a deal that would allow him to stay at the club for the next few years, but there is still some doubt that he could leave the club.

And the Brazilian himself even came out and admitted that he could leave the club at the end of the season for not getting the three-year contract offer that he currently desires, and recent reports have suggested that that Lampard and Marina Granovskaia are battling it out to come to some sort of agreement.

But amid all the transfer speculation, he has assured Blues fans he will remain committed to the cause until the season has finished.

Speaking to Brazilian TV channel Esporte Interativo on a live Facebook chat, he said: “My contract really ends I think in July.

And if I had to play on those dates, in these months, I think it would be no problem for me to end the league in a way which would be loyal to the club, as they always were with me.

“Regardless of a signed paper.

“But without a doubt, as always, I will always be ready to give the best to my club regardless of my contract situation.”

Fresh reports have again claimed that Chelsea are keen to wrap up a summer deal for AC Milan stopper Gianluigi Donnarumma.

Frank Lampard is a man on mission and is looking to spend some serious money at the end of the season and improve this squad enough to challenge for more than a top four spot, and the club legend has already started his transfer business.

Despite not spending any money during the January window, a few days after the winter window closes, Chelsea managed to seal a £37 million deal to bring the highly-impressive and very creative Ajax winger Hakim Ziyech to the club, a move that has been praised by many in the media.

And now, it looks like that he is keen to sign a new stopper as there is a lot of talk that he is not impressed with the performances of Kepa, who has struggled between the sticks this season and has come under intense criticism from the boss for some of his more high-profile performances.

And having long been admirers of Donnarumma, the news that Milan could be willing to flog their highly-rated young goalkeeper will be music to Chelsea chiefs’ ears, especially as reports on the Calciomercato website have also suggested Chelsea are ready to pay him a massive £7 million-a-season to sign up

The youngster has now already made 190 appearances for Milan, while amassing 16 international caps, with many claiming that he is the next Gianluigi Buffon.

Look, Kepa is a brilliantly gifted young man that will develop into a world class star, there is no doubt about that, so if he is to leave the club at the end of the season, then Donnarumma would be a massively brilliant replacement.

Chelsea have been warned against signing Philippe Coutinho, with Blues legend Frank Leboeuf claiming the Brazilian playmaker would not even get in Frank Lampard’s side.

But there has been some speculation in the media suggesting that Chelsea are lining up a summer move at the end of the season, as they seek to find an immediate replacement for Willian, with recent reports even suggesting that talks have been held between the player’s representatives and Chelsea.

However, Leboeuf struggles to see where Coutinho would fit in at Chelsea and does not believe he would be a smart signing. Leboeuf told ESPN FC: ‘I don’t think so. ‘Coutinho has been good with Liverpool, so far poor with Barcelona and Bayern Munich.

‘I would have lots of question marks seeing him coming to Chelsea, to bring what? ‘We have young players, very talented, who are very promising. We have good midfield players with [Mateo] Kovacic and Jorginho, to organise the game.

‘I don’t know where his place would be. If I was the chairman, if I was the coach, I would be very hesitant to pick him up.’

Look, Coutinho is a special player that has great ability and even though many will have their doubts that he could be a success at Chelsea, Lampard would surely be able to fit him into the system at Stamford Bridge.

He is a world class player that has proven himself at the very top of the game.
