Listening Chelsea fans? Lank Crouch has Lampard message for Blues fans

Peter Crouch has backed Frank Lampard to give it his everything at Chelsea after the former England star took over at Stamford Bridge.

Lampard has taken over a club that is back inside the Champions League after finishing inside the top four last season and also European Champions after Maurizio claimed his first big title in the game.

But with star man Eden Hazard now gone from the club and the Blues are unable to find any adequate replacements for the Belgian, there have been many that believe that he is simply not ready to lead the Chelsea side.

But Crouch, who as a former England team-mates and the striker, has claimed that Lampard will give it everything at Chelsea this coming season, telling the TalkSport website: “I said it last year when the fans were turning against Maurizio Sarri, they should get Frank (Lampard) in.

“It would lift the whole place. He is one of the hardest working men in football and he will give it everything.

“It has probably come a little bit too early for him but he will give the whole place a lift.”

Lampard does not have a lot of top level managerial experience to bring to this Chelsea side, but what he does have is respect and leadership, two things that will put him in great stead this coming season..

He will need time, patience and his big players to step up this season if he is to be successful at the club where he pretty much every trophy in the game as a player.

Chelsea need to change the way they have been doing things over the past few season’s and with all the great talent that is hitting the headlines, Lampard could actually be the long-term solution to a long-term problem at Stamford Bridge.
