Arteta opens door for sensational return, £110m trio to make big summer impact at Arsenal? Would fans welcome £43 million Frenchman
Guys here is a roundup of the latest Arsenal news, gossip and transfer talk from icfootballnews over the past 24 hours.
Mikel Arteta has dropped a massive hint that Henrikh Mkhitaryan could still have a future with the Arsenal next season.
Former Arsenal boss Unai Emery made the transfer decision to let the former Manchester United midfielder leave the club for Roma last summer, after the Spaniard secured a few attacking transfer deals that meant that Mkhitaryan was no longer needed at the club.
It has been believed that Mkhitaryan and Arsenal will not be working together again in the future, especially as the Italian giants came out just a few weeks ago and hinted that they are interested in truing his loan move into a permanent switch after a successful spell over in Seria A.
But since his arrival at the club, Arteta has given new life to a number of Gunner players that many believed could be leaving the club at the end of the season, and it seems like the Spaniard believes that Mkhi does still have a part to play in his quest to get Arsenal back to the very top of the game.
‘It’s a possibility that we have and will consider,’ said Arteta on whether or not Mkhitaryan has a future at the club ‘I always liked him, he is the kind of player who can fit in any team when he is at his best.
‘He needs to do it consistently and here he had moments and that’s what we need to assess.
‘Miki is doing really well in recent games. We know the player he’s been, we know his past, and we need to have all the information to make the right decision.’
Arsenal are a side that need to spend some big money in the summer and buy some world class players, especially if they want to challenge for a Premier League title.
Mikel Arteta is a man that has worked with arguably the best coach in the game, Pep Guardiola, and hopes to use his experiences working with the Spaniard to get this Arsenal side back to the very summit of the Premier League, and then possibly Europe.
But after a disappointing January transfer window, Arteta knows he needs the backing of the Gunners board in the summer to acquire some world-class players to close the gap on Liverpool and Manchester City.
To do so, we’ve chosen the three perfect players that can immediately get the club challenging once again, but have to spend a lot of money to do so.
Ake has developed into one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League over the last few seasons since he left Chelsea and has proven to be a real star for the Cherries, becoming arguably their most influential players on the pitch.
He is great with the ball at his feet, strong in the air, able to deal with even the best of Premier League strikers, and despite his tender years, has proven himself to be a good leader of the back-line and the fact that he would be on the market for just £40 million, he is seen as a real summer bargain.
Now there are many out there that firmly believe that Dacoure is ready to make that next step, test himself at one of the best sides in the Premier League and that has been proven by the rumours suggesting that the likes of Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United will make an offer in the summer.
Powerful, strong, a unit in the centre of the pitch that would allot the flair players at the Emirates to keep the ball moving, for £30 million he would be a fantastic buy for Arteta, especially as he would also help protect that dodgy back-line that the Gunners currently have.
He is proven in the Premier League too, meaning that he would not need to adjust to the English game.
Now with all the reports in the media about the long-term future of Pierre-Emerick AUbameyang and Alexandre Lacazette, Arteta may need to delve into his transfer kitty and bring in a striker that is able to lead the attack, that is able to hold up the ball and is able to find the net on a regular basis, someone like Jimenez.
He is been terrific for the Wolves this season and will surely get a move in the summer, with a lot of clubs interested in his services, he is a serious threat in front of goal and has a price tag that means many clubs could make a move.
£40 million and he could be lining up for Arteta, a bargain is you say so.
Pep Guardiola has told the likes of Arsenal that long-term target Houssem Aouar ‘is the real deal’, but is he needed at the Emirates?
After being nurtured by the club’s famous academy — which has been responsible for producing some of Europe’s current top players including Alexandre Lacazette, Karim Benzema, and Corentin Tolisso — Aoaur started to realize the value of his ability, and n 2015, aged 17, he made his first appearance for Lyon B.
In the 2017-2018 season, in the absence of Tolisso who had just moved to Bayern Munich, he made 31 starts in both Ligue 1 and the Champions League, scoring seven goals and producing six assists — and the following season, his stock further increased as he made 44 appearances, scored seven goals, and made seven assists.
With Arsenal seeking to add some much needed quality to their midfield and there willingness to give the talents in the game a chance to sign, reports have suggested that Mikel Arteta has been impressed with Aouar this season and is ready to beat the likes of Juventus and Chelsea to a summer deal.
And amid all the transfer speculation surrounding the young man, City boss Guardiola did not hold back on the lad, telling the DAILY STAR:“He is incredible,”
“He’s always very calm with the ball at his feet, with an excellent technical quality.”
Despite the speculation, Aouar says he’s not considering his next move.
“I am not really thinking about it, I am more thinking about the weeks to come,” Aouar explained.
“They are going to be important for Lyon and for us. I have a fair amount to still bring to the team.
“I am trying not to pollute my mind and stay concentrated on the pitch.”
Look, Arsenal may be in need of adding to the squad in the summer, especially if Mesut Ozil FINALLY PACKS HIS BAGS and leaves the club (which is the best thing), so spending £43 million on this man could be a good long-term investment.
But Arsenal fans don’t want investments, they want impact players, wo with that being said, would Aouar make any difference to this Arsenal side, really?
If he produced 20 goals a season and added another 20 assists, he would be great, but he does not and right now, he is not ready for a move to the Emirates.
