Daniel Levy has issued a statement after OFFICIALLY giving Jose Mourinho the Tottenham SACK!

Chairman Daniel Levy has thank Jose Mourinho and his staff after the former Chelsea and Manchester United boss was given the sack by Tottenham.

In his first campaign, Mourinho took Tottenham from 14th in the Premier League to finish sixth – securing Europa League qualification – but were knocked out of the Champions League at the last-16 stage by RB Leipzig.

Mourinho leaves Spurs seventh in the table, five points off the Champions League places and his sacking as come as a shock to many as he did have the chance to help Tottenham secure a first trophy win in thirteen years

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, said: “Jose and his coaching staff have been with us through some of our most challenging times as a club.

“Jose is a true professional who showed enormous resilience during the pandemic. On a personal level I have enjoyed working with him and regret that things have not worked out as we both had envisaged. He will always be welcome here and we should like to thank him and his coaching staff for their contribution.”

There are many Spurs out there that are very happy to see the special one get the sack as he does not have that top level management skills that top clubs need these days, he is probably past his best.

Spurs will struggle to get a top-class coach in until the end of the season., but it is just a massive call from the board to sack the man just before that Carabao Cup final against Manchester City.
