Arsenal announcement made – striker very excited after signing up with Gunners

Daniel Oyetunde claims the hard work is only just beginning after it emerged this week that he had officially signed up to his first ARSENAL contract, as he now has plans to work hard and one day break into that Gunners side.

The striker joined Arsenal an under-15 and following his two-year scholarship, and now the promising forward is excited to continue his journey after Arsenal agreed to keep him at the club a little longer and sign him up to his first profressional contract

He said on the Arsenal website: “I joined as an under-15, so this is my fifth year at the club. I’ve enjoyed every step, learnt a lot while I’ve been here.

“Obviously, my scholarship the last two years, I’ve learnt an immense amount from the coaches and the players I’ve played with. So this next year will be very interesting as well.

“It’s been a good day, a happy day with my family, with my agent. I signed my first professional contract.

“Obviously, grateful to God, grateful to the club for allowing me this opportunity. I’m ready to start the hard work.”

“For me, I think establishing myself in the under-21’s team and when given the opportunity to play any higher, taking it or train any higher, taking that opportunity.

“Also trying to stay fit and just taking every day an opportunity as it comes.

“Some of my biggest inspirations would be Thierry Henry and in the current first team maybe Bukayo Saka.

“The way they conduct themselves on and off the pitch and the fearlessness they use driving with the ball and scoring goals is something I wish I could implement into my game.”
