Frenchman to Arsenal as deal on, Target told to run from La Liga giants, David tells Arsenal he wants Prem move, £140 million duo to leave, Arsenal fans told

Guys here is a roundup of the latest Arsenal FC news, gossip and transfer news from icfootballnews.com

Reports have claimed Barcelona will sell Arsenal target Samuel Umtiti for £46 million in the summer transfer window.

With Mikel Arteta looking to spend some serious money during the summer transfer window, there was some speculation in the media that the Spanish boss is seeking to add some world class defenders to his squad, with Umtiti high up on the shopping list.

Arsenal may be ninth in the Premier League, but they have already shipped 51 goals this season and there is a big need for Arteta to delve into that transfer kitty to try and bring in a top-class defender.

A knee injury, which required surgery, saw the Frenchman lose his starting place to countryman Clement Lenglet last season, and reports suggested Barcelona are willing to allow him to depart the club for the right amount of money.

And reports on the Daily Express have revealed Umtiti is available as part of a fire sale as they look to recoup £118m in transfer fees when the window opens.

And the report goes on to claim that Arsenal could secure his signature for £46million – nearly double the £24m they paid Lyon in 2016.

Look, a few years ago Umtiti was one of the best defenders in Europe and was tipped to be a real star at the Camp Nou, but there is a reason why he is being sold by the Spanish giants and there is a feeling that he is done at the top level.

Arsenal target Jonathan David has put the Gunners on red alert by revealing that he would “love” to play in the Premier League.

Arsenal may not be able to do any transfer deals right now because of the coronavirus outbreak, but that has not stopped speculation in the media suggesting that Arsenal are lining up a number of possible summer signings in order to improve this squad,

And one player that has been linked with a move to Arsenal now is David, who has been impressing over in the Bundesliga over the last few seasons and has become a hot topic for most clubs in the Premier League, who have reportedly sent scouts out on a regular basis to take a look at the ability of the young man.

Now, the likes of Arsenal have been left on alert after the £60 million rated David admitted that he is interested in playing in the Premier League, He told The Guardian: “I don’t really focus on that or think much about it.

“Right now I’m playing almost every minute of every game and that has really helped me get to the level that I need to be. I just need to take a good step where I can make sure I am getting enough time on the pitch to keep developing.

“I don’t want to go somewhere and just stay on the bench so it’s about taking the right step.

“I want to become one of the best strikers in the world. That’s my goal.

“The Premier League is the best in the world and most competitive so obviously that is somewhere I would love to play in the future.”

Colombia legend Carlos Valderrama says he would be ‘running away’ from Real Madrid if he was in James Rodriguez’s position, with Arsenal reportedly interested in a transfer deal.

Since Arteta’s first match in charge on Boxing Day, the Gunners have won just three of their nine games in all competitions with two of those coming in the FA Cup, and Finishing in the top four seems out of the question for Arsenal this season and Arteta will likely be already thinking about his summer transfers.

The Spaniard was not handed the kind of funds that he had hoped he would get during the January window and only managed to secure transfer deals for the likes of Pablo Mari and Cedrik Soares , who have been brought in to help improve the back-line.

And Arteta should now be focusing on trying to bring world class players to the side in the summer, with Rodriguez a great option for the club, especially as all indications suggest that he is done at Madrid and could leave the club for the right amount of money, reportedly around the £50 million mark.

Now the Gunners have been boosted in their chase to land Rodriguez after legend Valdarrama told his fellow Colombian that he ‘would be running away’ from Madrid: ‘James is big enough to make his own decisions now,’ the iconic Colombian told Caracol Radio.

‘If it was me, I’d be running away from Madrid. ‘He’s good enough to play for any team. I wouldn’t doubt him for an instant.

‘He’s a great player, he’s already proved it. He can start for any other team, he’s got the quality to play anywhere in the world.’

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and ALexandre Lacazette will leave Arsenal in the summer, Gunners fans have been told.

The Coronavirus may be dominating the headlines in the world right now, but if you are an Arsenal fan, there has been alot of rumours on the media linking the likes of Aubameyanga and Lacazette with a move away from the club.

Aubameyang has not agreed a new contract that Arsenal have reportedly put on the table, as he ponders whether not to leave the club at the end of the season and link with with Barcelona, while Lacazette has been linked with a move away from the club for some time now.

And despite the fact that Arsenal do not want to see two of their biggest players leave the club, former Gunners striker Kevin Campbell has claimed the duo could leave the Emirates when the transfer window opens up in just a couple of months time: ‘I just don’t think Arsenal are in a position to keep [Aubameyang],’ the former Gunners striker said.

‘I can’t see us being able to offer him anything like we think we could. ‘We’re not in a great position ourselves and I think he’s one of the assets we can cash in on because there are going to be other positions in the team that need addressing

‘I don’t think it’s [the club or Aubameyang] trying to cause an impasse, I just think it’s timing. The timing is so, so wrong for Arsenal.

‘Obviously with a new manager again with Mikel Arteta, he’s come in and he’s having to think on his feet, he’s having to learn on the job.

‘He’s done some good things and obviously there are things that are going to need to be addressed.

‘But this is probably the biggest challenge for Mikel Arteta right now in his Arsenal managerial tenure and I don’t think he’s going to be able to keep Aubameyang.

‘You know what, I think Aubameyang and Lacazette are going to go. I think both of them will go. I’m a straight talker and I say it as I see it. ‘Aubameyang they can get something for, I think Lacazette, the way Arteta wants to play, doesn’t really fit the system.

‘So I think there’s going to be a lot of change.’
