David Moyes confirms brilliant star ‘is having his medical’ ahead of West Ham announcement.

West Ham United manager David Moyes has confirmed James Ward-Prowse is undergoing a medical at the club.

Ward-Prowse has been linked with a move to the Hammers all transfer season – and at one point it really looked like the Hammers would be priced out of a move for the midfield star.

But the Hammers board are finally making moves to get their transfer business done and have now reached an agreement with the Saints over a deal for Ward-Prowse, who will cost WEST HAM £30 million.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID – 

Moyes said ahead of Saturday’s meeting with Bournemouth: “James Ward-Prowse is having a medical just now. We’ve agreed a fee but it’s not right I speak about him as he’s not yet our player.”

GREAT MOVE FOR WEST HAM – 

WEST HAM fans have been waiting weeks to welcome a new signing and Ward-Prowse is certainly a player that they will be happy that is signing for the club.

He should have left Saints many seasons ago and tested himself at the very top of the game – he is a winner, a leader and a proven Premier League star, so is a great bit of business by the board.

There are a few more players that are seemingly set to make the move to London Stadium now that the top two targets, JWP and Edson Alvarez have been brought to the club.

Hammers fans were starting to get worried that the board would not bring anybody in and hoped that the squad that they have is good enough to compete for Europe.

But now JWP and Alvarez are in – it is turning into a very good summer for the Hammers.
