David Ornstein announces Arsenal set to make announcement on signing

Bologna star Riccardo Calafiori’s move to Arsenal is nearly complete according to David Ornstein.

ARSENAL have been waiting for the go-ahead as the Italian club and Calafiori’s former team Basel are still discussing the payment terms of a 50% sell-on clause. There is also set to be a similar clause in this move, but it is unlikely to be anywhere near a 50/50 split.

But now According to Gazzetta Dello Sport, Calafiori’s transfer to the Gunners is “imminent” as Arsenal appear to have reached a £42million deal with the Serie A team

Personal terms were finalised weeks ago with the Italy international and Calafiori only needs to fly to London to complete his medical and sign the contract now – David Ornsteinhas claimed.

And the Italian club are already making moves to bring in his replacement. According to Gazzetta dello Sport Bologna are getting cloer to signing Mats Hummels on a free transfer following his release from Borussia Dortmund earlier in te summer.

Calafiori is a player that ARSENAL really wants to sign but have been unable to get the deal over the line – there has been alot said about what he could bring to the Emirates – but he will be a solid signing for the club.

Mikel Arteta has done alot of transfer business over the past few windows so we are sure that Calafiori is a player that will bring alot of quality to that ARSENAL side for the foreseeable future.

He will be a very good addition that Gunners side – even as just a squad member.
