Dominic Calvert-Lewin message sent to Arsenal – Gunners to offer Memphis Depay move back to England and Arsene Wenger has Darwin Nunez message in Arsenal roundup…

Barcelona star Memphis Depay could make a sensational return to the Premier League after being ‘seduced’ by several English clubs, including Arsenal

Barcelona were in shambles after Lionel Messi left the club, as they were depended heavily on him for goals and as soon as the player left the club, there was a void and a lack of goals.

Dutchman Memphis Depay was brought in to fill in the space left behind by the Argentine but he was not consistent enough in front of the goal and injuries have also messed up his time with the club.

That has led to speculation in the media that Barcelona boss Xavi is now open to the idea of letting the attacker leave in the transfer window, and the Premier League is a place that he could come back too.

According to Superdeporte, Manchester United flop Memphis is being courted by the Gunners

Arsenal are looking to strengthen in attack after losing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, while Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are likely to leave as free agents.

Newcastle and Everton have also made contact with Barca over a summer move

Depay was signed by the Spanish giansts who believed that he had the ability to score goals on a regular basis for the club – they were wrong. Man United signed in in belief that he would score goals for the club – they were wrong

So if Arsenal believe that the possible signing of Depay will help them score more goals and close the gap on both Liverpool and Man City – they are wrong

Depay is a player that does well in the French League or the Dutch League but when he makes that step up to the Premier League or Spanish League – he cannot cope

The Gunners will need to add strikers to the attack in the summer, Depay is not the man for that

Meanwhile, Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger suggested Benfica star and Gunners target Darwin Nunez may struggle in the Premier League, amid all the speculation that the Gunners are keen on a move

Despite the fact the transfer window is still many months away there is still alot of speculation in the media about the type of players that Arteta will get to bring to the club, and how much the board will hand him in the transfer window

Now we all know that Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is enjoying himself over at Barcelona after leaving the club in the January transfer window, and Alexandre Lacazette will be out of contract at the end of the season, meaning that Arteta will need a new striker

There has already been a number of players linked with a move to the Emirates, but now it seems that Arsenal have started making moves to try and secure a bargain £60 million deal for the impressing Nunez

The Uruguayan hitman has plundered 26 goals for the Portuguese giants in all competitions this season, and his performances has attracted interest from Man City and Liverpool over the past few weeks

He does have a £127million release clause in his contract, according to Portuguese newspaper OJogo. But the report adds that the Primeira Liga giants might be willing to do business for around £68m at the end of the season

But amid all the speculation that Arsenal are keen to try and wrap up a transfer deal, Wenger has opened up and told the Gunners that Nunez may struggle in the Premier League, Wenger told beIN SPORTS: “We spoke about Nunez before the game.

“That’s where you realise the physical power in the Premier League.

“What looks very quick in the Portuguese league suddenly when he was confronted with the pace and power of [Virgil] Van Dijk or [Ibrahima] Konate, he couldn’t cope”

Nunez is a born scorer – but we will never know if he has the ability to play in the Premier League unless he comes here

It would be a massive risk from the likes of Arsenal to get a transfer deal done for the player, but 26 goals is no joke and if they get him for the right price, he could be a risk worth taking

And Finally, Gabby Agbonlahor reckons Arsenal should NOT sign Everton striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin when the transfer window opens up in just a few months time

It is no secret that Arsenal are in the market for a new striker this coming transfer window and have been eyeing up a number of possible players that could make an impact at the club next season

Calvert-Lewin is a player that has mentioned quite a few times now over the past few months, as the recent speculation in the media have suggested that Everton are willing to let the player leave in order to freshen up the squad

Speculation earlier this week even suggested Calvert-Lewin had already agreed terms with another Premier League club, with rumours rife that Arsenal were already setting up a deal ahead of next season

And now, amid all the speculation, Agbonlahor has opened up and encouraged the Gunners board TO not sign the Everton striker, He said on talkSPORT: “Someone asked me last week on the show, should Arsenal go in for him [Calvert-Lewin] – no! He can’t create his own goals, he doesn’t make his own goals.

“He has to lay it off, then get in the box and then the cross to come in perfect for him to get a goal. He’s not going to get the ball into his feet, turn and then score.

“That’s not him. So, for me, he wouldn’t suit Arsenal.”

There has been so many speculation and rumours about the young man and where he will be at the start of next season. But one thing is for sure, Everton will allow him to depart the club if the right offer does arrive

The money he could go for is alot and that would go a long way into freshening up the side that will need some new players in the transfer window

Is he a man that can net 20 goals a season? We are not 100 per cent sure, but he has proven that he has the ability to score in the Premier League and in a side that is as creative as the Gunners, he could flourish

That is out opinion
