De Jong to accept offer – Chukwuemeka to make move – Chelsea submit Gordon offer in Chelsea news of the day –

It has again been claimed that Barcelona star Frenkie De Jong is about to accept the offer to move to Chelsea

De Jong has been a player that has been in the headlines a lot over the past 6 months as all indications suggested that he would be leaving Barcelona

It has been claimed on many occasions that Barcelona are keen sell De Jong and recoup some of the money that they have spent on signing new players over the past few weeks

Barcelona have brought in the likes of Raphinha, Jules Kounde and Robert Lewandowski for big money as they look to rebuild the team – and the £60M they could receive from the sale of De Jong would go a long way.

That has led to stunning reports in the media that ChelseaFC have made an offer to try and secure the services of De Jong this summer – as Thomas Tuchel wants to bolster his midfield

Now – amid all the speculation – Noel Whelan has opened up and claimed that De Jong will accept the offer to move to Chelsea – he told Football Insider: “Chelsea are in a much better place after the takeover.

“You look at Chelsea and Man United – there are a lot more plus points on the Chelsea side. There’s Champions League football, they’ve brought in better players so far this summer.

“It’s a no-brainer for De Jong. Look at the start of this season – why would you choose Man United?

“It’s a new manager, but it’s the same old story for them.

“Players like De Jong, with their stature and ability, deserve to be playing in the Champions League.”

Chelsea make Gordon offer –

Chelsea have tabled a £40million bid for Everton attacker Anthony Gordon – it has been claimed in the media

Chelsea have been very busy in the transfer market over the past few weeks as new owner Ted Boehly looks to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League titles this season

Raheem Sterling, Marc Cucurella, Kalidou Koulibaly, Carney Chukwuemeka and Gabriel Slonina have all arrived to Stamford Bridge on permanent deals in this window – but it is expected that the club want to do more

Now – according to Football Insider Chelsea have made a stunning offer to sign Everton star Gordon

Over the past few season – Gordon has been establishing himself as one of the most exciting young players in the Premier League and his performances have caught the attention of all the big clubs

The reports claim that Chelsea have submitted an offer of £40 million for Gordon – believing that they could convince Everton into letting him leave for that money

However – the Football Insider also reveal that Chelsea have had that offer rejected as EvertonFC do not want to sell one of the clubs’ best players at this stage of the transfer window

Gordon has been impressive over the past few seasons – he really is developing nicely – but guys – really?

EvertonFC is the best place for him and his development right now – so leaving the club may be a massive mistake

Chelsea are a big club and players would love to join Them – But right now – there is no space for Gordon except on the bench – so many will be hoping that he does not leave the club

Chukwuemeka to make move –

Carney Chukwuemeka could be set to leave Chelsea on loan this summer – Blues fans have been told

Chukwuemeka had less than 12 months remaining on his existing deal and has repeatedly turned down offers of a new contract at Villa Park.

The 18-year-old made 12 Premier League appearances last season – but that has been enough for all the big clubs like Chelsea, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund to all show an interest in the lad

Chukwuemeka was free to discuss a move to a foreign club in January and could have decided to leave the Premier League to further his career in another top League

However – Chelsea moved quickly to make sure that he stays in the Premier League and the Blues made sure that he signed with the club

The 18-year-old midfielder penned a six-year contract with the Blues, who will pay Villa in the region of £20m – but after sealing the move across London – Gabby Agbonlahor has now claimed that the lad could be all set for a loan move away from Stamford Bridge

“Aston Villa did exactly the right thing,” Agbonlahor told Football Insider

“Nobody is bigger than the club, nobody is bigger than the academy. You don’t want anybody coming through thinking they can demand silly wages that they haven’t earned yet.

“Steven Gerrard, with the career that he’s had, will be thinking ‘How dare you ask for that money? I didn’t get that sort of money until I was an England international.

“Chukwuemeka, these agents sometimes get control of things and the going rate for young players now is big wages in some clubs. Chelsea are renowned for it with the players they bring through.

“He hasn’t gone there because he wants to play more regularly, he’s gone there because they’ve agreed to the wages.

“It’s just strange. Will they loan him out to a Championship club or a different league like they do with a lot of their youngsters? I don’t think he’s going to play a lot of football this season.”
