Chelsea and Manchester United target Frenkie de Jong reportedly favours a move to the Blues – it has been claimed in Spain

De Jong is a player that he been in the transfer headlines all summer – amid all the speculation that he is a player that Manchester United are desperate to try and sign

The midfielder is keen to stay at Barcelona – but could be forced out of the club this summer – as they want him to slash his wages at the club in order to stay – something he does not want to do

Man United have been unable to get a transfer deal done – as the Dutchman does not want to leave the Camp Nou and join a side that is not competing for titles – or playing in the Champions League

And De Jong has admitted the Blues are a “good option” for him if he were to leave Barca, according to Mundo Deportivo.

De Jong has been messed around too much by Barcelona this summer and should leave the club – what they have done to him is disgraceful and he should join a club that will actually want him

If he does make that move to ChelseaFC over the next few days – he will be a fantastic signing for the Blues as he is a proven world class player that has impressed at the very highest level of the game

So, if over the next few weeks, the Blues do manage to complete the transfer signing of De Jong – it really could be one of the signings of the summer and a player that would be brilliant in the Premier League

But this rumour has been dragging on for months – so it will be interesting to see how this all plays out in the coming weeks
