Man United interested in Danjuma – De Jong addresses rumours – United close to Nunez signing in Man United news of the day…

Arnaut Danjuma is a player that Man United are very much interested in signing – according to the latest reports in the media

There has been alot of speculation in the media about the type of players that Erik Ten Hag will look to add to his squad in the summer, as the Red Devils are now free to get the players that the Dutchman wants

And Ten Hag knows knows that the current side are good enough to finish in the top four next season – never mind challenge for the title – but the club, the fans wants more than that, and he knows that he needs to sign players that will make a difference to the squad, and that has led to reports that Danjuma is on the shopping list.

Danjuma left English football when he signed for Villarreal last summer – and that move to Spanish footbal has been easy for the Dutchman – as he provided 16 goals from 34 games.

Now The Manchester Evening News website has claimed that they could be back in the market for Danjuma after being aware of his progress in the Spanish top division.

There is a €45million release clause in the 25-year-old’s contract – and it is believed that the Man United board are willing to pay that amount – knowing Danjuma would bring some extra goals to the attack

Danjuma recently opened up and admitted that a move back to the Premier League could be on the cards

He said: ‘In terms of the Premier League, it’s indescribable. The thing I will never forget in the Premier League is the fans. If you just walk into the stadium you cannot replicate the feeling of a Premier League game elsewhere in the world, it’s different.

“So in that regard you are always going to miss a bit of England. If I’m returning one day, I guess that’s up to the way I perform and what the future holds for me.”

De Jong addresses rumours…

Frenkie de Jong has addressed the rumours that he could leave Barcelona and sign with Man United this summer

Now that Erik Ten Hag is officially at Man United – there has been alot of speculation in the media which has suggested that De Jong is one of the clubs very top transfer targets

Ten Hag wants to add a bit of bite – a bit of quality to that midfield and add players to the side that know his system – and are ready to work hard in order to play the exciting football he managed at Ajax

The pair previously worked together at Johan Cruyff ArenA and it has been suggested that Ten Hag is eager to arrange a reunion at Old Trafford. – but it seems that the Dutch International has other ideas

De Jong has only managed to win one trophy in the form of the Copa Del Rey in his three years at Camp Nou, but has admitted that he would like to stay put for the foreseeable future.

The Dutchman has told ESPN: “I prefer to stay with Barcelona.

“Barcelona is just my dream club. Also from a young age. I just said it too. I’ve never regretted my choice despite the fact that I had hoped for more in terms of prizes than I’ve achieved so far.

“But I have never regretted my choice.”

This will come as a massive blow for Ten Hag as it seems that De Jong was one of his top transfer targets and a player that would have been a brilliant addition to the squad

However – if he wants to stay – let him – there are plenty of other players that Ten hag can sign that will be more than happy to play for a massive side like United

Nunez to sign?

Erik ten Hag looks set to secure the first signing of his reign at Man United with 22-year-old Darwin Nunez, according to the latest reports in the media

Nunez scored 34 goals in all competitions this season for The Eagles as they came third in the Primeira Liga in Portugal and progressed into the Champions League quarter-finals.

He struck 26 times in 28 League games and is a player that all the big clubs in world football are eyeing up a possible transfer move for – especially as there are not too many deadly strikers in the game right now.

It is no secret that Man United will be keen to add another forward to that attack – and they have been keeping a very close eye on Nunez – especially for that £68M asking price that is on his head

Now – it seems that they are closing in on the possible signing of the man – as An agreement between United and Benfica is said to be ‘very close’ for the striker according to Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.

The report claims Nunez is a ‘priority’ target for Ten Hag as he tries to find a striker to bolster The Red Devils in attack.

We are massive fans of Nunez and believe that given the right chance – he can become one of the best strikers in the game

Signing a player from the Portuguese League is a risk for Ten Hag – but if the reports are true – it is a risk worth taking

He has the ability to play in a number of positions and works very hard for his team – he is certainly a player that fans would enjoy watching on a weekly basis

IF REPORTS ARE TRUE
