Chelsea informed they can activate release clause and sign £60M striker this month
CHELSEA have been informed that there is a contract clause in Liam Delaps contract, amid all the speculation that the Blues are one club that are interested in in the 21-year old striker.
The January transfer window has now been open for a few days, and this will give Enzo Maresca the chance to add a few players to the side that will improve certain areas of the pitch, and adding a striker to that attack is something that many Blues fans feels needs to happen.
Delap is having a fine season in the Premier League for Ipswich this season and has been linked with a move to both Chelsea and Liverpool in recent weeks, and although his seven goals are not that impressive, his performances have been quality.
Now, amid all the speculation and rumours, Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported the existence of a release clause, although did not confirm the value of it, while he did state that there is a sell-on clause worth around 20 per cent, which could cost Ipswich a significant amount of money if they sell elsewhere.

Chelsea will be linked with so many players over the next few weeks and we are sure that Chelsea will add one or two new signings to that squad, but the Blues are in the fortunate position that they dont actually need to improve alot of areas of the squad, they have a massive side.
It will be interesting to see just who CHELSEA make an offer to sign this transfer window, but we would be surprised to see a striker get signed by Maresca this month as Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku have been doing a pretty good job.
Delap has the potential to become a top striker, but he needs to make the right moves.
