Bayer Leverkusen managing director Simon Rolfes has already dismissed speculation that Chelsea -linked Florian Wirtz will leave this summer.

It is no secret that Chelsea, have been one of the biggest spenders in the transfer windows over the last few seasons, and it is also no secret that Enzo Maresca wants to add a bit more quality to the side.

And that has led to reports that CHELSEA will once again delve into that transfer kitty in the summer window and try to add a few new players, with Wirtz a man that the club now want,

The 20-year-old forward is one of the rising stars of European football and reports that the Gunners hold a ‘strong interest’ in the Germany international. It is said that Wirtz is on the club’s ‘radar’.

The Leverkusen midfielder had a stellar season in the club’s unbeaten domestic campaign, scoring 18 goals and registering 20 assists on the way to the Bundesliga and German Cup trophies.

However – Rolfes has already dismissed speculation that Wirtz could leave this summer: “He will stay. His father and agent said it before. He has a contract here and he’s really happy,” he said speaking to Sky Sports.

“This is the right place for him to develop as a player and person. His future is bright that’s for sure.

“He is such a good player and shows a great will to win and to work. It’s not normally the attributes of a number 10 but he combines talent with the work rate of a six or a defensive player along with producing special magic moments.”

However – it is believed that a few of £127 million would be enough to convince the Germans to part ways wit their talented midfielder –
