Director reveals why he let star join United – ace wants leave Man United – £50M United transfer message sent
Here is a roundup of the top Manchester United news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys could have missed today featuring Matthijs De Ligt – Erik Ten Hag and Antony…
Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke has claimed Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze would improve Erik ten Hag’s side as the Red Devils have been encouraged to sign the midfielder.
Manchester United have had a big transfer window and added a number of players to the side that should make the clubs chances of getting back into that top four spot a little more better.
But fans are left fuming after the poor performance against Brighton at the weekend and many wants to see some more players arrive in the coming days, and Eze is a man that Yorke believes the club should sign
Speaking to CSGOLuck, he said: “Even Eberechi Eze won’t push Manchester United to the next level because they don’t get the ball in the right areas.
“The United way is about getting the ball to you forwards as quickly as possible but United are slow on the ball and they get picked off. No matter the type of player they bring in they won’t be able to express themselves because they won’t get the balls in the right areas.
“Mason Mount has suffered because he doesn’t get the ball in areas, they need a player like Michael Carrick, Paul Scholes or Roy Keane to win the ball back and get it to the right players quickly.
“Casemiro has gone backwards and Kobbie Mainoo had a great season last year but he’s so young. Ten Hag is asking a young man to do a job that takes time to learn.
“Manchester United need one player in the six position who will always play the first pass forward and not sideways. That’s what United have been doing and it’s crap. It’s easy to play against.”
ANTONY WANTS OUT –
Joe Cole believes Brazilian Antony wants to move from Manchester United this summer window after failing to make the impact at the club that many fans would have liked after impressing at Ajax.
The winger has failed to put together any sort of consistency since his move to the Theatre of Dreams in the summer of 2022 and has looked nothing like the player that dominated at Ajax.
Ten Hag has publicly backed the £86million man, despite his woes in front of goal. But according to ESPN, he’s willing to let the Brazilian leave on loan this summer provided potential suitors pay the entirety of his £70,000-a-week wage.
Ten Hag was been trying to being in players that will help the club make more of a challenge for that Premier League and Champions League over the next few seasons – and he is keen to get rid of players that have struggled over the past few seasons.
He told TNT Sports: “Manchester United brought on Antony who in all due respect, probably isn’t happy to just play 10 or 15 minutes
“He’s an £80m player. He probably wants out the door at United and they probably want him out as well.
“You’re bringing him on and in that crucial moment when there’s a ball to be won, a body needs to be put on the line for your team and for your club, he didn’t do it and it cost his team.
“That’s the difference. If you look at the running the Brighton subs went through, it was fantastic.”

Antony has been awful since his move to Old Trafford and has not looked good enough to play in that Manchester United side – so letting him depart the club in the coming weeks will be a good decision to make.
Ten Hag would have liked to get the very best out of the Brazilian star – but he simply cannot adjust to life in the Premier League and to be honest – United need to get rid of the players that cant perform.
If he wants to stay and fight for his place at the club – great – but he needs to step up his level a couple of times before he is good enough for the Red Devils.

Now Max Eberl has opened up and revealed why he allowed the star to make the move to Man United – He said: “I understand that there are fan favourites, but we don’t make decisions based on fan favourites.
