Lee Dixon believes Kai Havertz has the talent to be a success at Arsenal after his impressive pre-season for the club

Havertz made the shock decision right at the beginning of the summer window to move across London and join ARSENAL , as he wanted to be in a side that was competing for titles and playing in the Champions League.

Many fans were left shocked at the news that he was now a Gunner, especially after the poor season he has last year for Chelsea – and the fact he has not lived upto the hype that surrounded him while at Bayer Leverkusen.

But Dixon believes it would be unfair to judge Havertz given Chelsea’s recent struggles and says he can flourish in multiple positions at Arsenal.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID –

Speaking to SkyBet’s Fan Hope Survey, he explained: “There’s no doubt that he’s got quality, £70million to Chelsea and then £65million to Arsenal is a lot of money to pay for a player, so there’s no doubt about his talent.

“I quite like him, and I like a lot of what I see, he’s also still only 24.

“With Arteta, he’s a manager that really embraces the youth and the potential of a player, and we’ve seen that in the past with the youngsters that have gone into the Arsenal team.

“He can really flourish under Arteta and because he’s so versatile, he’s a signing for the squad and the building of a quality unit that can go and challenge for the top honours.

SHOULD ARSENAL FANS BE EXCITED ABOUT HAVERTZ?

The German is a goal-scorer – he really has alot of quality that will improve that Arsenal attack – he just needs the right manager, the right club to get the very best out of him.

He couldn’t help Chelsea last season, they were poor – but in this exciting ARSENAL attack – he could be a 15,20 or even 25-goal a season midfielder.
