Chelsea interested in £80M signing – top chiefs make summer transfer decision
Borussia Dortmund’s top chiefs aren’t willing to let midfielder Jude Bellingham leave this summer, the likes of Chelsea have been told
Bellingham signed for Dortmund in the summer of 2020 from Birmingham City in a deal worth £25million. Since then he has become a key player for the Bundesliga outfit and has earned a regular place in the England squad.
His performances for both club and country and bumped up his asking price to well over £100 million, but that has not stopped speculation about the big clubs all making a potential move.
It is no secret in the media that Jorginho and Ngolo Kante are considering their futures at the club, meaning that Thomas Tuchel may need to delve into that transfer kitty and add a viable replacement
Declan Rice has been a player that been linked with a move to Chelsea in the coming window, but with the Hammers talking about a £150 million fee, the £80 million it could take to sign Bellingham is seen as a much more worthwhile decision
However, amid all the speculation and according to Sky Sports reporter Florian Plettenberg, the Germans have decided that no amount of money will convince them to sell their midfield star in the transfer window
Dortmund have a number of players that could leave the club, and will only allow one of their biggest to transfer away
Bellingham has the ability that all talents want in the game, he can become a future star of Football, he really is that good
It is easy to see why Dortmund want to keep hold and why Chelsea are so keen, but staying put for now is the right decision
He is young enough that he does not need to make that move to a big club just yet, he has time to develop into a star that is capable of walking straight into that Chelsea side
SO it is probably a good thing that Dortmund do not wish to sell.
