£60M valued star speaks on reports he could join Chelsea this summer – gives straight answer

Roma star Paulo Dybala has dismissed speculation he could join Chelsea this summer and insists he is staying with the Serie A club.

Over the past few days there has been alot of transfer speculation regarding the future of Paolo Dybala – with many reports claiming that Mauricio Pochettino has asked the board to sign the Argentinean International.

Although Dybala’s season was hampered by injury, he still scored 12 times and laid on six assists in 26 Serie A appearances as well as netting five times en route to the Europa League final.

Dybala was spotted at the British Grand Prix at Silverstone, which led to alot of rumours that he was on London to possibly complete that move to Stamford bridge, and now he has addressed that speculation.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID – 

Speaking to LAROMA24, he said: ‘I’m motivated for pre-season, which we’re starting tomorrow [Monday]. My future? I’m happy at Roma. I’m staying here.’

Roma boss Jose Mourinho had not seemed especially concerned about potentially losing his star forward when asked about the speculation on Saturday, saying: ‘I don’t know anything about his contract. But obviously I talk to Paulo like I do with all of my players.’

IS THIS THE END OF THE SPECULATION?

Dybala has said that he wants to stay – Mourinho has suggested that he wants to keep the player – and CHELSEA have not yet made a formal offer for the Argentine.

Rumours will still continue to be in the media over the next few months – but we are sure that Dybala will not be making the move to Stamford Bridge – he is more than happy in Italian football.

So unless he receives a crazy offer – this is a rumour that will not happen – although it may never go away
