€60M star completes Blues medical – Chelsea will make offer for £200M star – Big Toney claim made
Here is a roundup of the top Chelsea news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you may have missed today –
Fabrizio Romano has all but given his trademark “HERE WE GO” for the Christopher Nkunku transfer to Chelsea.
Graham Potter has reportedly been assured by owner Todd Boehly that he will be given plenty of time to implement his plans for the role.
And that has led to speculation in the media that Chelsea have been keen to secure the services of Nkunku after failing to sign the attacker during the summer transfer window – despite numerous offers
Now – According to journalist Fabrizio Romano that Chelsea and RB Leipzig have now reached an agreement over Nkunku
He Tweeted that The Blues already completed the medicals for the Frenchman, paying his €60 million release clause. The RB Leipzig forward will sign a long-term deal with Chelsea and will join them next season.
Chelsea are closing in on Christopher Nkunku deal. Medical already done as reported in September, agreement in place with Leipzig for more than €60m clause/easier payment terms. 🚨🔵 #CFC

Chelsea fans were a little disappointed to see that they were unable to see Nkunku perform at the World Cup because of that injury he picked up – but he really is a special kind of player.
There is a reason why all the big clubs have been watching him – there is a reason why he will cost so much and that is because he is a player that is good enough for the big time.
So, if the reports are true and Chelsea have reached an agreement to bring the Frenchman to the club at the end of the season – he will be a fantastic signing for the Blues and a man that can cause real havoc.
However – he will need time to adapt – as the Premier League is not the Bundesliga and it will take time for him to settle in England – settle at Stamford Bridge and get used to the way Graham Potter likes to play.
If Potter is still there by the start of next season.
Mbappe move to be made –
Kylian Mbappe wants to leave Paris Saint-Germain in the January transfer window – and Chelsea have the money to complete a deal for the Frenchman according to reporter Iomie Stanley
The France international could have moved to Real Madrid as a free agent, but decided to stay in Paris after the French President Emmanuel Macron called him and convinced him to stay.
However – there has been some shock rumours over the past few weeks which have claimed that Mbappe is not happy at PSG – he is not happy with the clubs coach and that he now wants to leave in the January window
According to recent reports on Sport, the striker is urging the club to sell him if a reasonable offer comes in, with many top teams eager to snap him up.
The Spanish outlet states that Chelsea are the team most capable of matching the financial requirements to sign him, but Man United, Liverpool and Real Madrid also interested in a potential deal.
And if you believe the words of Stanley – Chelsea have the money to complete a deal for the Frenchman – he told icfootballnews: ‘If Mbappe does come onto the market in the January window – Chelsea will be one of the clubs that make an offer.
‘Ted Boehly is a man that is keen to make a statement signing – that marquee arrival that will get tongues wagging – and Mbappe is one of those players.
‘He is already a superstar of the game – is already a player that scored 20-30 goals a season and is a man that is tipped to replace Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo as the best player in the game.
‘Chelsea will have to pay some serious money – close to £200 million to get PSG into selling and then would need to offer Mbappe around £600k-a-week in wages – but they are one of the clubs that are able to do that.
‘Madrid are in financial difficulty – Liverpool could be sold – Man United are not what they used to be and Man City are not really interested – right now.’
Toney claim made –
Chelsea target Ivan Toney is similar in style to Blues legend Didier Drogba, believes journalist Pete O’Rourke.
Chelsea are easily one of the best sides in the Premier League and Europe – but they have struggled for goals so far this season.
Despite all the attacking quality that Graham Potter has in that squad of his – Chelsea have only netted 17 times in the Premier League this season – and he knows that he needs to sign a striker in January.
There has been so many big names linked with a move to the club – But Ivan Toney is a player that has caught the eye of all the big clubs in England.
Ever since arriving to the Premier League with Brentford just a few seasons ago – he is rated as one of the best – one of the strongest and one of the most productive strikers in the League.
And amid all the speculation that Chelsea have made contact over a possible deal – O’Rourke has claimed that he would bring a similar style to Chelsea that Didier Drogba managed.
Speaking to GMS, the journalist said: “He’s similar in style to Drogba, whether he’s as good a player as Didier Drogba, that’s still open for debate.
