Arsenal confident ace will sign, Gunners to make Barca move, Carlos on the list, Arsenal tipped to land 28-goal hitman
Saka to sign up, Rafinha move to be made, Carlos on the shopping list, Arsenal favourites to sign Edouard in news roundup…
Arsenal are considering making a move for Barcelona midfielder Rafinha, reports Mundo Deportivo.
With Mikel Arteta seeking to improve a number of key areas of the pitch this summer transfer window, there has been alot of speculation in the media that he wants to spend some serious money to acquire the services of a new defender.
the results may have picked up for the Arsenal before the coronavirus outbreak stopped football, but the Gunners have still conceded over 50 goals in the Premier League, and needs work ahead of next season.
Add that to the news that David Luiz could be leaving the club during the summer transfer window after failing to extend his 12 month deal with the Gunners, means that Arteta seriously needs to sign an experienced defender.
Now, reports on the Daily Express website have claimed that Arsenal may be eyeing up a cheap move to try and sign Rafinha from Barcelona in the summer.
It is no secret that Barcelona are seeking to freshen up that side in the transfer window and are reportedly willing to let a number of squad members leave the squad, in order to balance the books and use transfer funds to sign their own transfer targets.
And the reports suggests The 27-year-old Brazil international, currently on loan at Celta Vigo, does not appear to have a long-term future at the Camp Nou.
Look, Rafinha has been decent this season and is a solid defender, there is no doubt about that. But Arsenal will need to sign better quality of players if they are to get back into the Champions League next season and then push on to challenge for some silverware.
Arsenal has been linked with a move for Sevilla defender, Diego Carlos, who is a top target for Liverpool.
Liverpool may have one of the best defences in the game right now, but there is a feeling that Jurgen Klopp is not completely happy with his back-line and will look to improve that area of the pitch when the summer transfer window opens up, especially as Dejan Lovren looks set to leave.
Lovren may be a big part of the Liverpool side, but there is a feeling in the media that he is not trusted by Klopp and the German coach will look to sell on and bring in an adequate replacement that can do a much better job, someone like Carlos.
However, they have been linked with a move for Carlos for a while now and reports even suggested that contact had been made about a possible transfer deal, but with the £75 million asking price becoming a problem, they have so far failed to progress.
Now a report from Spain via Eldesmarque has claimed that Arsenal may be interested in a possible deal.
There has been some big news over the past few days which have revealed that David Luiz is all set to depart the club after not being offered a new contract, with a return to Benfica on the cards for the Brazilian.
And that means that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta will need to spend some serious money in order to try and bring in a few signings that will improve the squad and also help replace the void of Luiz if he does leave.
Arsenal reportedly look to be the favourites to sign Celtic star Odsonne Edouard, according to the latest insights from the bookies.
Now we all know that Arsenal failed to make any big signings in January, and we also know that Arsenal failed to do any transfer business that would help Mikel Arteta improve the side and help take the club back to the top by the end of the season.
But there is a feeling that Areta will improve the squad in the summer with a few top-class additions, as reports have suggested that he will have around £150 million in the kitty to improve his side in all the key areas of the squad that actually need working on.
And that has led to speculation that Arsenal will try and get a transfer deal done for the impressive Odsonne Edouard, who is making all the right nooses in the game after netting an impressive 28-goals this season.
Callum Wilson, a spokesperson from Oddschecker, is quoted by the Daily Record as explaining that Arsenal’s interest in Edouard could be due to the need to replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang amid his ongoing contract saga.
And with so much interest in the young man, the reports suggests that Arsenal are actually leading the chase to try and bring him to the Premier League when the season is up, and the summer transfer window opens up.
Edouard has shone at Celtic and looks an ideal potential long-term replacement for Aubameyang, as the 22-year-old finished with hugely impressive performances for Celtic, and he is well within the budget of Arsenal at that £40 million the Scottish giants are asking.
Arsenal are confident that Liverpool transfer target Bukayo Saka will sign a new contract with them.
There has been so much speculation and rumours over the past few weeks about possible new signings coming into the club at the end of the season, that many have forgotten that the Gunners have a wonderful youth set-up at the club that is still continuing to thrive and produce some exciting talent.
And one name that made an impact over the last few seasons is that of Saka, who broke into the Arsenal senior side last season under Unai Emery and made four appearances, but has gone on and evolved this season with over 25 appearances for the first team under his belt.
But The Gunners academy product, 18, has entered the final 18 months of his current £3,000-a-week deal and there is speculation in the media that a number of clubs may be looking to tempt the young man away from the Emirates, especially if they cannot tie him down to a nice big, new contract.
Arsenal have not been able to tie Saka down to a new deal yet, with plenty of clubs growing interested in the situation, but Football.London reports that Arsenal feel that they can get Saka to commit his future to the club.
Saka recently posted a picture of him in an Arsenal kit as a child to his Instagram account, captioned: “Kid with a dream…” which has got many Arsenal fans believing that he is about to sign a new contract with the club.
Former Arsenal youth star Charlie Gilmour reacted to the post, urging his old teammate to put pen to paper.
Saka is a brilliant young talent that could go on to become a superstar, so if he has signed up or agreed to sign up, it is a very smart decision from Arsenal.
Fans are sick of all the transfer speculation surrounding the young man and are keen to a deal to get wrapped up, so they must be wondering why it is taking so long for a deal to take place?
