Edu announces Arsenal midfielder deal, Striker to fulfil dream with Arsenal move, Ex-Gunner will drive £54 million man to Arsenal if deal agreed
Campbell makes Aouar claim, Smith-Rowe signs deal and Abraham to fulfil Arsenal dream in top Arsenal news…
Tammy Abraham might fulfil one of his childhood dreams if the Chelsea striker seals his loan move to Arsenal.
Abraham is one of the most talented young strikers in the Premier League, and before the arrival of Timo Werner last summer, was tipped to be the main man at the Bridge for the next few years.
However, The England international has fallen down the pecking order in West London since the arrival of Thomas Tuchel as manager, and he is now reportedly seeking a summer exit in order to get the game time that he feels he deserves
There has been many links to a number of clubs in the Premier League, but Arsenal are the club that seem most interested, with recent reports claiming that the Gunners are ready to pay £40 million and take him to the Emirates
And now, amid the speculation, it has emerged that Abraham could fulfil a lifelong dream if he makes that move across London and plays for the Gunners.
The Blues star has admitted he was a Gunners fan who idolised their strike legend Thierry Henry, Speaking in 2017, Abraham said: “To be honest I was an Arsenal fan.
“It didn’t make any difference at Chelsea.
“When you’re young and you choose who to support, it’s a family thing… so it wasn’t really a problem at Chelsea.”
Abraham is a striker that should be playing on a weekly basis, and although there has been alot said about a move to Arsenal. It is probably not the right one to make.
If the Gunners are to improve that front line this summer, they need a striker that has proven himself at the top level for more than one season, Abraham is decent, but he is not at the level it would take to lead this Arsenal attack.
Kevin Campbell has offered to drive Houssem Aouar to the Emirates if Arsenal agree to sign him this summer
It is no secret that Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta is a massive fan of Aouar and wanted the board to sanction a transfer move either in the summer, or the January window, to get a transfer deal done.
Lyon wanted £55million for his signature in the summer, a fee that was more than what Arsenal paid to release Thomas Partey from his Atletico Madrid deal, and with Covid hitting the club in the inter window, they did not intend to pay that fee in January either.
However, there has been alot of rumours over the past few months that Aouar wants to leave the French club this summer and with his contract running down, reports have claimed that he could be worth just £17 million this summer.
Now, amid the speculation, Campbell has offered to drive Aouar to the Emirates if Arsenal agree to sign him this summer, He told Football Insider: “Listen, for that price I will drive over and pick him up myself.
“He was valued at £50million last summer so £17million? You are laughing.
“This is Covid for you. Their chairman wanted to keep him and was playing a game with Arsenal. Now, all of a sudden he has had to drop his price tag. Lyon, like a lot of French clubs, are struggling.
“I still think Aouar is a top player. He is a dynamic midfielder who I would bring in.
“There are going to be exits at Arsenal so we need quality options in the midfield. He certainly fits the bill.”
Look, this is the type of player that Arsenal need to be signing in the transfer windows to get back in that hunt for the Premier League title, so if the reports are true and they could get him for a bargain they should make a move.
He will move to a big club, so Arsenal should get a deal done now before they simply cannot afford the lad.
Emile Smith Rowe has signed a new long-term Arsenal contract – and has been handed the No 10 shirt in the process
Smith-Rowe has made a real impact on the Arsenal side this season and has firmly established himself as one of the most creative players at the Emirates right now.
He is a player that Mikel Arteta rates very highly and a player that added a number of assists and goals to his name over the course of the season, but there has been big speculation about his future
The Gunners youngster has been the subject of intense interest from Aston Villa this summer, with the Midlands outfit having seen two bids rejected for the playmaker, as the club had no intention of letting him leave
Smith Rowe has now put an end to the speculation by committing his future to the club he has been with since he was 10 years old, and Arsenal technical director Edu has opened up and announced his delight at the deal.
He said on the club website: “This is another important step forward for us and we’re all delighted that Emile has signed a new long-term contract.
“It’s great to see another young player develop through our academy system to become a key part of our first team. Emile is a player who represents the future of the club and this is why we have given him the No 10 shirt. We have trust in Emile and we know he has the potential to be a beautiful player for many years to come.”
It was a massive shock to see that Smith-Rowe was linked with a move away from the club, but at the end of the day, he was never really going to leave was he?
This is great news for the Gunners as they were sick of all the rumours surrounding the gifted player.
