Chelsea ‘have demanded’ world class defender Sandro for in-demand Emerson this summer
Chelsea are thought to be open to the idea of Emerson leaving in the next transfer window, and they have demanded the signing of Alex Sandro.
Chelsea signed the former Santos star for £17.6million in January 2018, as he was signed by the Blues as a back-up option for Marcos Alonso, who proved many people wrong by becoming one of the best left-backs in the country.
But Emerson has rejuvenated himself at Chelsea and the defender is now above Alonso in the pecking order after making 27-appearances under the guidance of Maurizio Zarri last season and impressing new boss Frank Lampard in the early goings of the new season.
However, there has been alot of speculation in the media over the past few weeks which have suggested that he could be one of the players that Frank Lampard will seek to offload in the summer in order to raise funds to acquire his personal signings.
Juventus are trying to drive down the asking price for Emerson after Chelsea slapped a £37million price tag on the defender, and the Blues have already reportedly rejected a proposal for the Defender.
However, Corriere dello Sport claim Juventus are not willing to offer more than £27m for Emerson, but are prepared to offer a player in part exchange for the left back.
And the reports goes on to suggest that Chelsea have demanded that Alex Sandro is the man that will be offered in the summer, with Chelsea keen on the impressive defender.
Sandro has firmly established himself as one of the best left-backs in Europe over the past few seasons and has attracted all sorts of interest from some of the games biggest clubs, including Manchester United.
Juventus do not want to lose the man, but considering they are keen on Emerson, a straight summer swap could be beneficial to all involved?
