Defender wants to be at Chelsea, Chelsea told Inter desperate to sell superstar, blues interested in King, Mexican move to be made, £200m Kane transfer message sent
Emerson wants Chelsea stay, Inter desperate to sell Icardi, Chelsea interested in King, Corona move to be made in Chelsea roundup..
Chelsea could be one of what it reckons are four top Premier League clubs who have Bournemouth striker Josh King as a transfer target.
There is no doubt in the media that Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is keen to add another striker to the attack when the transfer window opens up, as Tammy Abraham will not be able to do it all himself in the coming seasons.
There has been some big names linked with a move to Stamford Bridge over the past few weeks, despite the fact that the football matches are not taking place, and King is a name that ha caught the attentions of many of the top clubs.
King has one year left on his Bournemouth contract and is likely to leave this summer. He has scored 48 times since moving to Bournemouth five years ago after his contract ran out at Blackburn Rovers.
Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard also wants to add to his attacking options when the transfer window opens, and is ready to beat off the attentions of Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham for his signature, according TO REPORTS ON SKY SPORTS
The report goes on to suggest Part of the appeal of King to Chelses would be his ability to play both centrally and wide, where his pace has been used to good effect throughout his Bournemouth career.
Look, King may not be that big-time signing that Chelsea fans would love to see arrive in the coming months, but he is proven in the Premier League, is consistently a good performer and knows how to play in the English game.
Chelsea are being linked with Porto’s Mexico winger Jesus Corona – as a cheaper alternative to Jadon Sancho.
Sancho’s name has been dominating the headlines for over 12 months now after a breathtaking last few seasons with Borussia Dortmund, in which he has develop into one of the most creative players in the game.
It is no secret that pretty much every top side in the Premier League has been keeping a close eye, with reports Manchester United and Chelsea are leading the chase, and are ready to pay that massive £100 million asking price of the young man.
However, with the coronavirus meaning that big transfer deals may be thin this transfer window, there is some doubt that Chelsea will be ready to pay that massive £100 million asking price that is currently on the head of Sancho.
And according to reports on the SUN, Corona, 27, is rated as a much cheaper alternative to Borussia Dortmund’s Sancho – with his performances in the early goings of the season impressing a number of Chelsea scouts.
Wide midfielders Willian and Pedro are tipped to exit the Bridge this summer – making Corona an even more attractive proposition, especially as he can also slot in at wing-back.
Look, there is no doubt that many Chelsea fans out there would love to see the arrival of Sancho and a number of other players arrive this summer window, but that might not be able to be the case and Chelsea may have to wait until next summer to complete a transfer deal.
Italian football expert Gabriele Marcotti says Inter are desperate to sell Chelsea target Mauro Icardi this summer transfer window
Now look, the Premier League season is a few weeks from being re-started as clubs are back in training and getting prepared to be given the green light from the government, but there is still alot of speculation about possible deals for Chelsea.
Frank Lampard is keen to add another striker to the side in the summer, so many named have been linked, so many top-players, but Icardi has been a name that has been mentioned a bunch of times in the transfer headlines.
But despite the fact that many believe he could make the move to Chelsea, Marcotti does not think Icardi would suit the Blues style of play, saying he is completely different to current Blues strikers Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud.
“Look, you can take everything that we’ve said about Inter and put it on hold because everything is pending finding a buyer for Mauro Icardi,” Marcotti told ESPN FC.
“If PSG decide not to take him up and he comes back the other way, then I think it would be a serious, serious issue for them because then they wouldn’t have the liquidity to do other things
“So it’s understandable if he’s being linked to other clubs. He does have a tremendous scoring rate.
“I personally don’t think Chelsea would be a good match for them really at all, simply because of Icardi’s style, because of his work rate, because he’s so different to what Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud bring to the table.
“He really is a supply-dependant striker, a very good one, but he’s somebody you need to create chances for.
“That’s very different from someone like Abraham, who’s so busy.
“It wouldn’t make too much sense to me but I’m not surprised that Inter or whatever intermediaries out there are trying to drum up interest Mauro Icardi, because if Paris Saint-Germain don’t keep him around it’s a bit of a disaster for Inter.”
Chelsea full-back Emerson has opened up and admitted that he is very happy at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea signed the former Santos star for £17.6million in January 2018, as he was signed by the Blues as a back-up option for Marcos Alonso, who proved many people wrong by becoming one of the best left-backs in the country.
But Emerson has rejuvenated himself at Chelsea and the defender is now above Alonso in the pecking order after making 27-appearances under the guidance of Maurizio Zarri last season and impressing new boss Frank Lampard in the early goings of the new season.
However, there has been alot of speculation in the media over the past few weeks which have suggested that he could be one of the players that Frank Lampard will seek to offload in the summer in order to raise funds to acquire his personal signings.
The defender returned to Chelsea training alongside the rest of teammates last week, but just like the league’s future is still shrouded in mystery, Emerson’s own future is said to be far from settled.
But despite all the transfer rumours, it seems that he has no desire to leave the club just yet, he told the official website: “I have a strong connection with Italy and I put in great work at Roma. So when the transfer window opens, there are always these kind of rumours.
“[However] it’s difficult to see anything happening now since I’m quite happy here. It’s not the right time [to leave the club].”
Lampard himself has recently talked about how important he felt to try to do not only physical but mental health checks on his players, and it’s something that Emerson has certainly appreciated.
“In these times where we weren’t training, Lampard was the man who cared a lot about us. Every week he made a meeting with the entire team on the Internet.
“He’s an open man, he always asks what we want, how we’re feeling, and he’s always been on our side. This makes all the difference in team unity.
“Since he’s young and a former athlete, and he knows how it is to be on our side [as a player], he’s always put us at ease to let us speak our minds. And that helps a lot! There’s no distance between coach and player, we’re all working together in the same team, and we want to be on the same wavelength.”
Look, There is no need to sell Emerson if he does not want to go as he has proven that he is more than capable of putting in a good shift. So Lamps will love the news that he actually wants to stay at Chelsea.
Former Tottenham forward Teddy Sheringham has claimed England captain and Chelsea target Harry Kane is at a “crossroads” in his career regarding rumours of leaving the club.
Regarded as one of the best strikers in the game right now and one of the main reasons why Tottenham are such an exciting team to watch, there has been alot of speculation in the media over the past few days about the future of the England International.
Kane has not won any trophies just yet and with Spurs seemingly heading in the wrong direction under Jose Mourinho, he recently came out and admitted that he may have to leave the club in order to get the success that he is looking for, with Chelsea keen on trying to nail down his signature.
But with the likes of Manchester United and Real Madrid also interested in a possible deal, Kane has a big decision to make when he eventually leaves the club.
Sheringham told the Football show: “You have to look at Tottenham and where they are. When I was there, the ambition had been sucked out of the club, it wasn’t going places, but now they’re challenging for things and in the top four.
“Harry’s got to weigh up his situation, does he want to leave? Are top players going to be coming in, or does he have to go elsewhere to play with top players.
“At the moment, I would say his career at Tottenham, I know they haven’t won anything, but it’s been steadily going forward. It might be at a crossroads now, and if not this year, but if they don’t look like they’re going forward or win anything in the next year, there could be changes.
“Harry’s only got one career, and he wants to win things. We’ll see what happens with that, but my advice would be you only get one career, make sure you make the most of it.”
