West Ham ‘are working on deal’ to bring £25 million star to London Stadium

West Ham United are reportedly ‘working’ on a deal to sign Sevilla striker Youssef En-Nesyri in the January transfer window,

ccording to recent reports onEstadio Deportivo, Sevilla are welcome to the idea of the 2022 FIFA World Cup star leaving the club in the January window, with En-Nesyri struggling for form with Sevilla this season despite the attacker’s incredible performances in Qatar this winter.

Valued at £30m, En-Nesyri scored the goal that sent Morocco into the World Cup semi-finals, – And now, West Ham are interested in signing the striker

West Ham find themselves in a relegation battle – and there has been alot of talk about whether or not David Moyes will get the sack if he cannot turn things around.

Now  talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook has told GiveMeSport. has claimed that the Hammers are now working on a deal to try and sign the La Liga star in a deal worth £35 million

He said: En-Nesyri was on their list last summer. I think Sevilla are open to letting him go out on loan at the moment. I’m not sure the player is as keen to make the move, but they’re working on that one.”

But amidst the speculation – Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed a striker is not the “priority” for West Ham

told Football Insider“I don’t think West Ham need to be buying players at the moment.

“They’re in a transition period at the moment. They’ve been in Europe two seasons in a row, but they’re not going to do it this season.

“What they’ve got in the door is enough to stay up. They can then look at the squad in the summer and get rid of the players who aren’t good enough.

“Players like Coufal, Dawson, Cresswell, Soucek – there are going to be decisions to make on all of those players.

“I just don’t think a striker should be a priority for them right now. Scamacca and Antonio are good enough to get them through to the end of the season.”

Agbonlahor is correct and adding another striker to the squad is not the priority for West Ham, so En-Nesyri is not the right kind of signing for the club right now.

But that doesnt hide the fact that he would be a player that could bring top level experience to the squad.

  1. Stephen Burnett says:

This deal already dead. Combination of the fact he wants to stay and help them stay up, that his family is settled in Spain and that he hasn’t scored this season in the league – Hammers already moved on
