Englishman delighter after completing Arsenal transfer deal – £100M star told join Gunners – star Premier League bound?
Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you may have missed –
Portugal and Benfica ace Goncalo Ramos “will end up in the Premier League”, former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has told the likes of Arsenal .
The January window has been open for a while now – But Mikel Arteta has not really signed the players that he would have hoped too – but there is still alot more time to get some deals done.
Ramos is a young man that has been catching the eye of the big teams over the past few weeks and is a player that earned huge praise at the World Cup for his performances when he replaced Cristiano Ronaldo.
Now – Eriksen expects Manchester United and Arsenal to be looking at him – and has tipped the young man to make a move to the Premier League in the near future.
Speaking to OLBG, he said: “Goncalo Ramos is a fantastic player, it’s not easy to replace Cristiano Ronaldo like he did. He will end up in the Premier League like a lot of Portuguese players, he can adapt there.
“If he wants to go to England, he’ll want to go to a big club. I’m sure that clubs like Arsenal or Manchester United will look out for him.
“He’s a player destined for the Premier League because it’s the best league in the world and the best want to play there.”

We are not sure what type of player that Mikel Arteta would like to see arrive in the coming weeks – but Gomes could be a good option as he would provide very good back-up for the injured Gabriel Jesus when he is back to full fitness.
However – Arteta may be looking at more established players as he knows that Man City will only be signing the best – so we cant see Gomes at the Emirates anytime soon.
But it will be interesting to see just who arrives in the coming weeks – fans are hoping for a big name or two that is for sure
Rice message sent –
Gunners icon Emmanuel Petit has urged West Ham star Declan Rice to join Arsenal
Over the past few seasons Declan Rice has developed into one of the best players at the club – and one of the most impressive midfielders that the Premier League has to offer.
He really is the leader at the Hammers and a man that they are hoping to keep at the club for as long as they are possibly too – but that has not stopped speculation regarding his long-term future at the club
Chelsea fc are continuing to be linked with a move for the England International – and it is believed that Rice has already made up his mind about leaving the Hammers after rejecting the clubs massive contract offer
However – ex-Gunners and Chelsea stylish Petit believes only one of his two former London clubs is heading the right way.
The former France star told Compare.bet: “I know that Chelsea wants him, but if I were Declan Rice, I wouldn’t go to Chelsea, I would go to Arsenal.
The two clubs are going in different directions and the way Arsenal is playing.”
“He would be the perfect option for Arsenal.”

Why shouldn’t Arsenal make a move for Declan Rice? They have the money and the quality to compete with the likes of Chelsea, especially now.
His style of play would be a brilliant addition to that Gunners midfield and he honestly would be a player that fans would love.
We honestly believe that Chelsea are the team to beat in this chase – but there is no doubt that Rice would be a world class signing for the Gunners – and a man that would protect that back-line perfectly
But can we see them paying close to £100 million to secure the services of Rice – no we cannot and that is why they will probably not make a move for the man
Azeez completes move –
Miguel Azeez says the opportunity to learn and develop under Kolo Touré’s guidance was a big reason why he made the decision to join Wigan on loan from Arsenal
Azeez, 20, has signed for Latics on loan until the end of the 2022/23 campaign, after spending the first half of the season with Spanish Second Division outfit UD Ibiza
Speaking to Latics TV, the England youth international revealed his excitement to arrive at the DW Stadium, and work with the former Arsenal invincible and Ivory Coast international.
“I’m really happy to be here,” he said.
“It’s a real honour, and I thank both Wigan and Arsenal for getting this deal over the line. I’m looking forward to playing and helping the team.
“It’s a big step up, and I’m ready to give my all for the team and the fans, and prove myself.”
On working with the Gaffer, Azeez added:
“Firstly, it was the confidence I had in the manager when he spoke to me. He wanted me to be a part of the team and help them (moving forward).
“That coming from an Arsenal legend is such an honour, especially with myself being an Arsenal fan. Working with Kolo is going to be an honour.”

People that have seen Azeez play will be excited as he is a very talented young man – so this is a good move for him.
We do not know if he will ever get a chance to shine at the Emirates – but he should use him time wisely at Wigand and try to get the game time he needs.
There will be clubs watching him and if he impresses – he could have a very successful career in the lower Leagues
