Erik Ten Hag Asks Man United Board to Sign Striker To Help Hoijlund

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag wants the Red Devils to sign another striker this summer amid Rasmus Hojlund’s struggles.

Hojlund, 21, has scored 13 goals in 34 games in all competitions but has not been the impressive striker that Man United have needed him to be this seasob under Ten Hag.

When asked how important it would be to have a proven scorer for next season, Ten Hag replied: “I think it would help.”

He added: “You need more options. You need double positioning in every position. Some positions we didn’t have the choices this season – the striker position, the left-back position – and that has a negative impact on the results.”

Man United spent all that money on signing Hoijlund when they could have signed Harry Kane for pretty much the same price – and he is banging in 30 goals this season at Bayern Munich.

Hoilund is a project that needs time to develop into the world class striker that many believe he could become – but he is not ready to lead that United attack.

Ten Hag may not even be the manager in the summer window as there is alot of speculation over his future – so even if the club sign a new striker – he may not be the one that takes the club forward.

Manchester United are one of the biggest clubs in the world and should be winning trophies – but they should also be signing the best players and it will be interesting to see what happens in the transfer market.
