There’s a chance Tottenham ‘will sign unbelievable player’, Jose given green light to sign midfielder and Spurs given boost in chase to sign Upamecano

Tottenham could sign Eriksen, Spurs given green light to sign Sabitzer and Upamecano in Tottenham news and gossip….

Red Bull Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has one again admitted that they may have to sell their best players, with Dayot Upamecano a player that Arsenal would like

Regarded as one of the very best and most exciting young defenders in Europe right now, Upamecano is making a real name for himself over at RB and is tipped to make a move to one of the biggest clubs in the game.

Spurs have long been linked with a move for the young man, and considering that Jose Mourinho knows that he needs to bring a bit more leadership and quality to that back-line, that has had issues this season.

And now amid all the speculation, Mintzlaff has once again admitted that they would sell their top performers if it make financial sense, commenting on potentially having to sell players, Mintzlaff told Sport BILD: “We have a squad that is very broad in terms of quality. So we will sell top performers again if it makes financial sense and we can cope with it from a sporting point of view.

“When I think of [Timo] Werner, [Matheus] Cunha, [Naby] Keita or [Diego] Demme, we’ve already made a lot of money and still made progress in terms of the sporting side.

“Overall, we have invested a lot in our team, no question about that. But look: the current squad had a market value of less than €250million (£225m) when the individual players made their debut.

“And if we now take the current market value, we are at around €550m (£495m). You have to take this plus of over €300m (£270m) into account when you talk about investments. We are creating value with our path.”

Reports have again claimed that there is still a chance that Tottenham could re-sign Christian Eriksen this transfer window

After establishing himself as one of the most creative midfielders in the Premier League, Eriksen made the transfer move to Milan in hope of becoming that world class player he had ambitions to be.

However, since his move to Milan, he has not become the calming playmaker that the Italian giants had hoped he could be, and has struggled to get into Antonio Conte’s starting line-up, which has led to all sorts of speculation in the coming days.

The latest rumours have suggested that he has been linked to all the big clubs in the transfer window, even Spurs have been mentioned as a possible destination for the Danish midfielder.

Some claims have suggested that Tottenham aren’t keen on the playmaker, but the Italian press have continuously stated that they are. And the Athletic back up those claims, saying that they have been told there is a ‘small possibility’ that it does happen.

It was a massive decision from Eriksen to leave Tottenham, especially because he believed that he would win trophies elsewhere, so it just shows that the grass is not greener on the other side.

However, Spurs fans would surely not take him back as he left on bad terms.

There are a few players that are now better than him that Tottenham are linked with, so if they did decide to bring him back to the club, it would be a massive mistake, he would not suit the new system at the club

Red Bull Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff has one again admitted that they may have to sell their best players, and that could mean that Tottenham could get Marcel Sabitzer

Jose Mourinho has done a decent job at the Spurs since his arrival last season and he will have done a very good job if he is able to finish inside that top four spot, and bring Champions league football back to the club on a weekly basis.

That means that he will need to delve into his transfer kitty during the summer window and try to acquire a few players that will be able to come in and make an immediate impact on the side, by adding some goals, assists and performances throughout the course of the year.

And Austrian Sabitzer, who can play multiple roles in central midfield and also occupy a right-wing or left-wing position, has been in fantastic form for the Bundesliga side this season and is already in double figures in terms of goals.

It is claimed that Sabitzer is a player that Mourinho would like to bring to Tottenham this month, but with COVID still flying around, it is becoming more difficult for player to change clubs, and change countries

But now amid all the speculation, Mintzlaff has once again admitted that they would sell their top performers if it make financial sense, commenting on potentially having to sell players, Mintzlaff told Sport BILD: “We have a squad that is very broad in terms of quality. So we will sell top performers again if it makes financial sense and we can cope with it from a sporting point of view.
