Wow! £40 million rated star could play for Man City or Liverpool – fans told
Neil Warnock has claimed Everton star Dele Alli could play for Man City or Liverpool
Everton signed the midfielder from Tottenham on transfer deadline day, after he fell well down the pecking order at the club after literally dropping off the radar.
But has made just six appearances in the Premier League since his move and He is yet to start a single league game, and has been an unused substitute in the last four matches.
At the weekend, ex-manager Neil Warnock had argued why he felt Dele would be a good addition to Liverpool or Manchester City’s squads, and Warnock highlighted Everton’s style of play as a problem for the England international.
“When I look at Dele, I feel sorry for him,” Warnock said on Sky Sports News. “Everton aren’t a team good enough or strong enough to give him the ball in the right areas.
“You play him off Calvert-Lewin. Play him off the striker and give him the ball in them areas. But they don’t do that. They are under the cosh all the time. They pass it in silly areas and don’t play them balls into feet and get runners, which he is good at.
“I think if you put him into Liverpool or Man City’s team, then you would get a hell of a player out of him.”
Look, a few seasons ago Alli could have played for those two clubs – but right now, he is not even good enough for the lower placed sides in the Premier League
Everton must be regretting the decision to sign the midfielder
