Everton most likely to sign 42-goal striker after summer offer made
It has been claimed that Everton are now the likeliest club to make a move and sign Brereton Diaz this deadline day
Diaz has made a productive start to the new season and his performances have been attracting some top clubs to his services
Boss Frank Lampard strengthened his attacking options by completing the £15million signing of Neal Maupay from Brighton & Hove Albion last week – but he is still looking to get some lates deals done
And that has led to speculation in the media that Everton are ready to fend off some club in order to seal a deal for the exciting Diaz – who has netted 42 goals in his senior career so far
However – it has been claimed that Fulham have made an offer for Diaz – but Journalist Dan Jones understands that Fulham’s opening offer for Diaz fell some way short of Blackburn’s expectations and, as a result, Everton are in pole position to strike a deal.
Jones told GIVEMESPORT: “Obviously, Fulham have come forward with an offer for Brereton Diaz, but their offer is way too low.
“It sounds like, from Fulham’s end, they still expect Everton to go ahead and get Brereton Diaz.
“I’d say that his most likely landing spot still seems to be Everton. Fulham might actually ended up going for Gykeres, at Coventry, instead of him.”

Diaz is a very good player – but is not the type of player that Everton need in order to get them back up that Premier League table
He would be a good squad member – and that is it
