Lampard told possible 22-goal arrial ‘will be good signing’ for Everton

Everton target Ben Brereton Diaz would be a good signing for the club – according to journalist Jacque Talbot.

The Toffees made the big decision to let Richarlison leave the club earlier in the season for Tottenham – in a deal worth £60 million – and they have really invested their money in another attacker

But that has led to many reports in the media which have claimed that Everton are now very much interested in signing the highly exciting Brereton Diaz – who enjoyed the most productive season of his career so far last term, registering 22 goals and three assists in 37 Championship appearances.

Now – amid all the speculation – Journalist Talbot has opened up and claimed that Diax would be a very good bit of business by Everton if they were able to get a transfer deal done for the man

Talbot told GiveMeSport: “He was very good for Blackburn in the first half of last season when they were in that promotion place, and then he got injured, and the team fell off entirely.

“They got him down to a new contract in May, but they activated a one-year extension, but I think that’s with a view to eventually moving.

“I think they turned down some offers last season for him as well, halfway through the season there.

“But I think he’s a good player, and he seems within Everton’s sort of repertoire I feel, so it will be a sensible, shrewd purchase. I think he’s very good. That’s very possible.”
