Ex-Gunners star tells fans ‘he would love to see’ Arsenal sign 21-goal star this transfer window

Theo Walcott would ‘love’ ARSENAL to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United this summer as the Gunners continue to be linked with signing a new striker and has also revealed a Premier League title prediction.

Isak conjured up 21 goals and two assists across 30 Premier League games last season, and with no European fixtures this term, Newcastle look set to challenge for a top-four finish, which they achieved under manager Eddie Howe in 2022-23.

The Gunners have painfully missed out on top-flight glory two seasons in a row but Walcott thinks it is finally time for his old to club to end their 21-year wait and would ‘love’ them to sign Isak, or Ollie Watkins, before the transfer window closes.

‘I do feel now it is third time lucky for ARSENAL,’ Walcott said at a Sky Sports event on Friday, in regards to their hopes of clinching the 2024-25 Premier League title.

‘It was very insightful to watch them in pre-season and fascinating to see the mindset that [Mikel] Arteta has set into his team.

‘When you do that, it is one club together it’s going to cause a lot of problems, like they did last year.

‘I don’t think they need a striker to win the league, but I’d love to see someone like Alexander Isak or Ollie Watkins come in to push the other players. I really think they’ve got the squad to do it.’

Look, there are alot of fans that would love to see Arsenal sign Isak – he was brilliant last season for the Toon – but we believe that will not happen, and to be honest, we doubt Arteta will sign a striker.

The ARSENAL boss is loyal to the players that he has and if he wanted to bring in a striker this summer – he would have made his move long before the start of the transfer window.

So Arsenal fans dont be surprised if a new striker is not brought to the club this window.
