Fans told Auba will be leaving Arsenal, Boateng on way to Arsenal? Gunners to hijack Chelsea deal? Foget Lemar Arteta and sign £80 million superstar
Here is a roundup of the latest Arsenal news from icfootballnews.com
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will LEAVE Arsenal because of Mikel Arteta, it has been claimed.
The Gunners have been locked in negotiations with the Gabon’s representatives over extending his existing deal at the Emirates, which runs out in the summer of 2021, but talks recently stalled due to the uncertainty over Unai Emery’s position at the club and the fact the club are not competing at the top of the game.
Aubameyang signed for the Gunners in 2018 for a club record fee of £57m and the club believed Mikel Arteta’s appointment would aid negotiations, but, according to the Times, Aubameyang has informed the club that he wants to leave and will not sign a new deal.
The news has alerted a number of top clubs around Europe, including United, who were reportedly keen to try and nail down the services of the Gabon striker during the summer transfer window.
But when asked about the chance of a January sale, Arteta said on the Sky Sports website: “I don’t even think about that possibility with Auba, I want him here.”
But Gunners great Paul Merson says Arteta’s decision to play Aubameyang out wide and force him to track back will lead to the striker forcing a move away from the Emirates.
“Aubameyang will be leaving,” said Merson on SKY SPORTS SOCCER SPECIAL
“He will be ringing his agent after that and saying, ‘I do not want to be tracking back like that’.
“He is coming towards the end of his career and he wants to be playing for a top team. He is playing for a top club, but not a top team.”
Arsenal should forget about signing Thomas Lemar and spend their money on the signing of Kalidou Koulibaly.
Ex-Gunners boss Uani emery was linked with a whole host of players during the summer transfer window, and many fans were excited to see what kind of players that the Spaniard would bring in to make a real statement to the Premier League and rest of the top four challengers.
But despite all the excitement, despite all the rumours and despite all the speculation, the Spaniard failed to acquire the type of players that could come in and make a serious impact on the side, and send a real statement to the rest of the Premier League, signings like Zaha.
And there has been a ton of speculation in the media all suggesting that Arsenal will once again reignite their interest in trying to sign Lemar this transfer window as he looks set to leave Athletic Madrid by the end of the month
However, they should spend that £80 million it would take to sign Lemar, and try to acquire the services of Koulibaly from Napoli.
Koulibaly has been outstanding for Napoli over the past few seasons and his performances has attracted all sorts of interest from the games biggest clubs, with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Real Madrid and even Barcelona all joining Chelsea and Arsenal in the chase for the defenders signature.
He is valued at around £150 million, but there have been some reports in Italy which have claimed that the Italian giants may in fact be willing to let the powerhouse defender leave for just £69 million in the January transfer window, in order to balance their books and bring in a number of players to help improve their side.
Reports have claimed Bayern Munich are willing to let Jerome Boateng sign for Arsenal this month.
Mikel Arteta ha as big job on his hands this season building a side that is capable of challenging for that top four spot, never mind actually beating off the likes of Chelsea, Tottenham, Leicester, Manchester United and Wolves for Champions League football next season.
But he will reportedly be handed funds to improve key areas of the pitch over the next few weeks, with reports suggesting that he is keen to sign a couple of defenders to help make the side a more solid unit.
And that has led to some shock speculation in the media suggesting that the Gunners boss may be interested in trying to acquire the services of Boateng over the next few weeks, especially as SKY IN GERMANY claim the centre-back wants to leave Bayern this month and is available for only £12.8m.
He has enjoyed a remarkably successful career in Germany but has struggled for form recently. Nonetheless, this has not put Arsenal off the 31-year-old.
Calum Chambers’ long-term injury has made bringing in defenders a January priority for Mikel Arteta.
Reports have claimed Arsenal have made early moves to try and sign Nathan Ake ahead of rivals CHELSEA.
Arsenal may have improved the back-line during the summer transfer window, but they failed to acquire the type of players that would make a serious impact in the premier League, and once again, they are struggling to keep clean sheets.
Arsenal know they need to start spending the big money and signing the kind of world class players that their rivals are currently acquiring if they have a chance of picking up the Premier League in the next couple of seasons, and they need to get more solid defenders than the likes of David Luiz
And one man that has been making all the right noise in the Premier League over the past few seasons is that of Ake.
Ake is rated as one of the best young defenders around and has previously been linked with CHELSEA, with reports the Blues can buy him for £40m due to a clause in his contract.
But the Telegraph claim the Gunners are now in for Ake and have made moves to sign the Dutchman with Callum Chambers to miss the rest of the season with an ACL injury suffered playing against the Blues last week.
Ake has shown that he is comfortable on the ball wherever he has been and has the ability to help the Spaniard play the kind of football that brings success at the top level.
And considering Arsenal need to add some pace to their back-line, Ake is quick for a centre-back, something that Emery needs to add to his defence as the best Premier League strikers are no slow coaches, they all have the pace to get through the middle of the Arsenal back-line.
