Fans Believe Boss heading to Liverpool – Midfielder reveals Liverpool offer – Boss opens door to Liverpool move

Here is a roundup of the top Liverpool news and gossip that we think you guys may have missed today –

Ruben Amorim says he “can’t guarantee” that he will stay on as Sporting CP coach next season amid reports he could replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.

Klopp is one of the best coaches in world football and a man that Liverpool fans have all come to love over the seasons – but he is leaving the club at the end of the season after making the decision that now is the right time to leave.

And that has led to alot of speculation in the media that Amorim is a man that LIVERPOOL are very interested in bringing to Anfield.

Amorim can still guide Sporting CP to a second Liga Portugal title this season, with his team sitting one point clear of Benfica at the top of the table, but he has opened the door to a possible move to Liverpool

Asked if he will still be there next season, Amorim told reporters: “No, I can’t guarantee it. Sporting is dealing with the future and I cannot decide because I gave my word.

‘I can no longer go back in the sense that, if we don’t win titles, I will leave Sporting.

‘This was very clear from the beginning. It was a bet that I thought was important to convey to my players, so we have to win. First we will win the titles and then we will decide things, that is not a concern.

“The future has been planned for a long time, and we, as a structure, are outlining all the situations, everything we want, for next season.

‘That’s the main reason why I can’t guarantee that I’ll stay, I crossed paths with the players and as a leader I can’t lose my word, no matter how much it costs me, maybe we have to win titles, we’re on the right track and it’s important to win this game.”

RODRYGO REVEALS REDS OFFER –

Real Madrid star Rodrygo has revealed that he turned down a move to Liverpool from Santos in the summer of 2017.

But there has also been some speculation that the likes of Mohamed Salah and Luis Diaz could be open to departing the Reds in the summer – as there are some big clubs interested and alot of money being talked about, which has left to speculation about Rodrygo.

The 23-year-old is currently one of the best forwards in the world and he has already registered 15 goals and eight assists this term.

But speaking to The Guardian, Rodrygo has now revealed that he could have joined the Reds as a teenager but rejected the proposal, as he decided to stay and make history with his boyhood club.

He said: “I almost joined Liverpool in 2017, the deal was done for €3m. It collapsed because I said no.”

“I wanted to stay at Santos, make history, finish my studies and then leave..even though the offer from Liverpool was very good.”

Look – it will be a massive summer for Liverpool and their fans as there will be alot of changes for the club – especially with a new manager coming in.

If Salah or Diaz leave – Rodrygo could be a very good option to come in and fill the void that one of those players could leave.

AMORIM TO LIVERPOOL?

Portuguese football expert Pedro Sepuldeva has told Sky Sports that Ruben Amorim is favourite to replace Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool

“Sporting fans are now thinking this is the end of Ruben Amorim in Sporting. He said a few months ago that he would leave if he didn’t win titles. Now we can say he will leave if he wins titles or not.

“Is he the favourite to replace Jurgen Klopp? Yes, absolutely.

“Liverpool’s shortlist was Xabi Alonso and Ruben Amorim. Xabi, as we know, is out of the race for the job and Liverpool I think are going to concentrate all their efforts on Ruben Amorim.

“In terms of his contract, it is not a big deal for LIVERPOOL. Amorim earns €3m plus bonuses at Sporting. I am pretty sure Liverpool can make a better offer financially.

“Liverpool is going to fight a little bit with Sporting over compensation but I think the deal could be done for €15m.”

“If Sporting wins the game against Benfica on Sunday it could make the negotiations go a bit faster. If they don’t win, then the points between them and Benfica will not be that much.

“That will make the negotiations slower if the title is not guaranteed.”
