Fans told £86M star ‘will be an Arsenal player’ – Gunners told target wants move – Arteta sends transfer message

Here is a roundup of the top Arsenal news and gossip from icfootballnews that we think you guys may have missed today –

Mikel Arteta insists Arsenal cannot waste any opportunity to strengthen their small squad.

The table-topping Gunners’ title charge suffered a minor setback on Tuesday as they missed the chance to move 10 points clear following a fractious goalless draw with Newcastle.

Manager Arteta has used only 12 players in his three starting XIs since the World Cup, with his options depleted by the injury absences of attacking duo Gabriel Jesus and Emile Smith Rowe

Arsenal have already bid for Shakhtar Donetsk star Mykhailo Mudryk this month but now face competition from Chelsea, while they have also discussed a possible move for Joao Felix

And the Spaniard says the club are working to recruit reinforcements this month: “It’s something more for Edu (sporting director) and the board to respond to,”

“We are really trying to improve the squad in every window, this is no different.

“We will try to do our best because we cannot waste any window. We’re still with the squad and the numbers that we had (at the start of the season) but we will try.”

This Arsenal side have a very good chance of winning that Premier League title if they are able to add a few more players to the squad in the January window.

If the board do not back the Spaniard – it could be very hard to keep up their level of performances – especially as Man City will only be five points behind if they beat Chelsea on Thursday.

Arteta will surely get a few new players into the club this window – it is just a case of what quality they will be.

Felix wants Madrid exit –

Arsenal have been told that Joao Felix does not want to play at Atletico Madrid any longer

With the many reports in the media suggesting that Mikel Arteta is desperate to improve his squad in the January window – there has been alot of speculation about Joao Felix.

The young Portuguese star is regarded very highly in the game but has been unable to hit the heights that many had hoped for during his time at Madrid – which has led to rumours he could leave.

According to recent reports on the Daily Mail,  Arsenal are exploring the idea of signing Felix on loan until the end of the season After the injury to Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus, and Mikel Arteta has been hunting for possible replacements with Felix’s name popping up on his list.

Now – Spanish football expert Fernando Kallas has told Sky Sports News that Felix no longer wants to stay at MadridJorge Mendes has spent the entire night trying to negotiate because Felix doesn’t want to play in Madrid anymore.

“The relationship between him and Simeone is broken and there is an exodus of Atletico Madrid players who want to get out of Simeone’s control.

“The thing is, Atletico Madrid paid a lot of money for Felix so they want something in return so we are talking about £15m until the end of the season, for six months, – so it’s a lot of money.”

Joao Felix has plenty of talent and is just waiting to work under the right manager that will get the very best out of him.

But the way he plays – the kind of game that he has means that he would struggle at the Emirates and it could be a big mistake to sign him – even on a loan basis.

Mudryk claim made –

Gunners fans have been told that the exciting Mykhailo Mudryk ‘will become an Arsenal player’

The Gunners, who reportedly had an opening offer worth around £55m including add-ons rejected, are yet to meet the demands of the Ukrainian club, with the payment structure also being discussed.

Sky Sports have claimed that Shakhtar view Mudryk, who has played just eight times for his country and is yet to score a goal in international football, as one of the top five wingers in the world.

Shakhtar believe he is better than Antony at Manchester United, who cost £86m from Ajax in the summer, and are using that as their benchmark in negotiations.

And amid all the speculation surrounding the young man

Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth:

Arsenal have got the chance to go 10 points clear tonight. I think they see this as a unique opportunity, potentially, if they can do some good business in January, they can actually win the title.

“They remain in talks for forward Mykhailo Mudryk. Negotiations are continuing over the size of the fee, but perhaps more significantly, the structure of the payments.

“One source has told us Arsenal are prepared to pay a fee closer to Shakhtar’s valuation, but there is no agreement as yet.

“Sources close to the deal feel like there will be a resolution – Mudryk will become an Arsenal player. He wants to move, that is becoming clear. Personal terms won’t be a problem.

“He’s been filming himself on social media watching Arsenal’s games. We reported last week that Shakhtar value him at around £85m. Mudryk is the priority signing.”
