Fans told Arsenal summer signing is so good ‘he do Xhaka’s and Partey’s job’

Teddy Sheringham has claimed that Declan Rice is so good he can do both Granit Xhaka and Thomas Partey’s job at Arsenal.

ARSENAL came close to winning their first Premier League title since 2004 last season, sitting top for 248 days before ultimately finishing five points behind Man City.

That prompted Mikel Arteta to get very active in this summers transfer window and sign players that will make a difference, with Rice, Kai Havertz and Jurrien Timber making the move to the Emirates.

Rice, 24, is rated as one of the best holding midfielders in Europe right now and the Gunners managed to beat off the likes of Man City, Bayern Munich and Chelsea to secure a deal for the Englishman.

WHAT HAS BEEN SAID – 

“I think Declan Rice is such a brilliant player,” the former striker told Lord Ping.

“He will go into the Arsenal team and do Xhaka’s and Partey’s job – he is that good. West Ham will need to replace him with at least two players and Ward-Prowse and Paulinha are decent players.

“West Ham are losing a player with massive stature and presence. With a £100 million in the bank, the fans will want to see some top players come into the club and West Ham moving forward.”

RICE IS A BRILLIANT SIGNING – 

There will not be too many people out there that you will find that dont believe that Rice is a brilliant signing for the club.

He is only 24 years of age – is already a leader and has proven that he can even lead a relegation threatened side to a European Trophy – he is ready for this move to ARSENAL .

Man City will be worried because the Gunners have improved in all areas of the pitch and still have a few weeks left of the transfer window to keep adding.
