Chelsea supporters have given new signing Valentín Barco a mixed but largely optimistic welcome on social media after the club confirmed the Argentina international’s arrival from Strasbourg on a contract running until 2033.

The 22-year-old completed his move to Stamford Bridge on Sunday, becoming another addition to Chelsea’s squad ahead of the new campaign.
