Fans told exciting new signing ‘to have big impact at Stamford Bridge’ after Chelsea move confirmed
Sky Sports News chief reporter Kaveh Solhekol has claimed that new Chelsea signing Joao Felix will have a massive impact on the side.
Chelsea have been very active in this transfer window already and managed to complete the signing of David Fofana – Andrey Santos – Benoit Badiashile and now Joao Felix.
Felix is regarded as one of the finest young talents in the game and a lad that many hope will go on to become a world class attacker – but he has not found his feet at Madrid and that is why he opted for a move to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues have brought Felix to the Premier League until the end of the season as they needed to add more fire-power to the squad, there are many that doubt he will have much of an impact – but if you believe the words of Solhekol – he is a player that Chelsea need.
He told Sky Sports: “Chelsea supporters will say they need an out-and-out striker, a lot of people in Spain think Joao Felix’s best position is playing off a central striker. At the moment he’s not necessarily going to get that at Chelsea.
“Is he a player Chelsea desperately need at this moment in time? Maybe not, but I think he can still have a very big impact at Stamford Bridge.”
I think we are all interested to see just what Felix can do in the Premier League – it may be a masterstroke by the club to get a deal done, or it could be a massive waste of money and time.
The Premier League is alot faster, more physical than La Liga, so many believe that if you cannot be a success over in Spain, you will find it very hard to be a success in England.
However – that does not hide the fact that Chelsea need him, and fans are excited to see him play.
