Ten Hag gives Man United Lisandro edge – Joao Felix addresses rumours – Asensio bargain on cards in Man United morning news –

It has been claimed in the media that Real Madrid are demanding just £25 million to allow Man United target Marcos Asensio leave the club this summer

Asensio has won three La Liga titles and three Champions League trophies during his time in Madrid but the winger started just 21 games across both competitions last season.

The Spanish international has a respectable record of ten goals and one assist to his credit this season – despite his limited game time under boss Carlo Ancelotti – and there has been more doubts about his future at the club

Madrid do appreciate just how talented the lad is, and he has been impressive at times, but he has not lived upto the expectations of the club and with Madrid looking to freshen up the side, he is a player that they will reportedly be willing to let go.

It has been claimed in the Italian media (via Football-London) that Madrid will not allow Asensio to leave the club for anything less than the £25 million that they currently desires

Milan are currently leading the chase – but Man United are still very much interested in a possible deal

Look, there will surely be no doubt that money will get spent in the transfer window

Man United have always admired Asensio and if there is a chance to finally swoop in and offer him some sort of deal, then we can see the Gunners doing that

He has huge potential and under the right manager – he could flourish into a world class midfielder – and for the money that is being talked about – it could be a real bargain transfer for the club

Lisandro claim made –

Erik ten Hag gives Man United a major advantage in their pursuit of Ajax star Lisandro Martinez – the fans have been told

Erik Ten Hag is a man that has big plans for this current Man United side and has started to do some transfer business this summer – although the players that he has signed already are more for the future.

And Martinez is a player that has the ability to cover that left-back spot – but can also play in the centre and move into midfield when he is needed.

He is a current Argentina international and helped his country win the inaugural Finalissima against Italy at Wembley this month – and he was an understudy to Cristian Romero and Nicolas Otamendi last year as Argentina won the Copa America.

Initial talks have already taken place with Man United willing to offer around £25m for the Argentina international – but they will need to up that figure if they are to complete a deal as the likes of Arsenal have already made their moves to get a deal done

But the fact that Ten Hag worked with Lisandro while managing Ajax gives him the edge in a possible chase according to Football reporter Peter O’Rourke.

O’Rourke told Give Me Sport: “I think it’s a big advantage for Manchester United in their pursuit of these Ajax players because they know ten Hag and know how he works.

“They all, obviously, seemingly enjoyed working under him at Ajax as well.

“I think it gives United an extra advantage in their pursuit of these players from Ajax, the opportunity to work with Erik ten Hag again.”

The transfer window has been open for a few weeks now and there is alot of speculation about who will be coming in – so fans want to see players signed -not speculated about

If Ten Hag wants Lisandro – then the Man United board should be doing everything possible to try and get a deal done

Felix addresses rumours –

Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix insists that he is committed to his La Liga club despite the rumours linking him with a move to Man United

Felix came through the ranks at Benfica as a teenager and earned a move to Atletico in 2019 after smashing 20 goals in 43 games during his debut season with the Portuguese giants – numbers that alerted all the big clubs in world football

But although he has not produced those kind of numbers at Atletico – he has become a big part of the Spanish side and Felix’s talents have also seen him break into the Portugal team, where he has scored three times in 22 appearances.

There has been many rumours in the media that the likes of Man United, Man City and Liverpool are all ready to delve into that transfer kitty and try to secure a transfer deal for the talented attacker

But amid all the speculation – Felix has admitted that he wants to stay with Diego Simeone at the Wanda Metropolitano and affirms that a departure this summer is not an option.

“An exit from Atletico is not on the table,” the 22-year-old explained to reporters from his native Portugal.

“I am calm about my future, and aware of what I can do, I feel good about myself.

“I am still on holiday, I have just started training to prepare pre-season but I’m not thinking about football too much.”

The lad is very talented and certainly a player that has the potential to become one of the best in world football – so it is easy to see why Man United> are keen

But right now – he does not need to leave the club – he is happy – he is playing on a regular basis for one of the biggest clubs in world football – it is the correct decision to stay put
