Man United target urge to make summer move, Frenchman up for sale, Striker delighted after signing with United, Fernandes sends warning

Osimhen urged to make move, Rabiot up for sale, Ighalo delighted, Fernandes sends warning in Manchester United news roundup..

Manchester United target Victor Osimhen has been urged by Nigeria manager Gernot Rohr to leave Lille this summer.

With the fact that Manchester United needing to delve into that transfer kitty during the summer transfer window in order to sign a few players that will improve the side, a new striker will surely be high up on the shopping list of the Red Devils.

And one name that has been linked with a move to old Trafford over the past few weeks, is that of Osimhen, the Lille star that is taking the French league by stor,

The 18-goal 21-year-old has also been linked with Chelsea, Arsenal and Tottenham – and Rohr believes that playing at a higher level will help his Super Eagles chances.

He told Le Quotidien du Foot: “Victor Osimhen, I think, will have a very big opportunity to go from Lille, perhaps in the Premier League, to a very, very big club.

“If we have players playing at a very high level for their clubs, our level at the Super Eagles would grow also.

“(But) if he is signing for a very big club – you have seen the clubs ready to buy him now – he is not so sure to play because there’s big competition for the starting places in the team.

“(Although) it would be better to play in a better club than Lille.”

Odion Ighalo has spoken of his relief after Manchester United reached an agreement to extend his loan from Shanghai Shenhua until January 31, 2021.

Ighalo sealed a last-gasp Deadline Day loan move to UNITED from Chinese Super League side Shanghai Shenhua, as United needed to add another striker to the side for the second half of the season, and the former Watford striker has been putting in some very good performances for the club.

But after managing to convince the Chinese club to let Ighalo stay until at least the January transfer window, Ighalo has opened up and admitted how delighted he is that the deal has been managed to get done.

The Nigerian told MUTV: “I’m really happy. It’s a dream for me to be here. I’m buzzing and ready to go.

“Since the first day I arrived, I made it clear that I wanted whatever it takes to continue that work.

“Like I’ve said, since I was young, I’ve been supporting this club and playing for it is a dream.

“Now I’ve extended my loan, it makes it even more clear and I’m committed as I know, in my head, I’m here until January.

“I just want to work hard and enjoy it, support the team and do whatever I can to make us go higher and higher.”

Bruno Fernandes has admitted he will have to adapt his game when Manchester United make their Premier League return later this month.

Fernandes has galvanised the Red Devils since his £67million move at Manchester United from Sporting in January, helping them to an 11-match unbeaten run, scoring twice and providing three assists in just six appearances.

His performances for the club has got a good feeling around Old Trafford once again, and there are many out there that firmly believe he can help the Red Devils get back into the habit of challenging for titles, and winning the biggest trophies on offer.

But he has come out and warned the rest of the premier League that is he looking to get better and adapt his game when the football gets going again in just a few weeks time,
He told Talent Ain’t Enough: “My vision of coming to Manchester United is that I’m at one of the best clubs in the world, for me, the best club in England.

“My idea for the next years are doing better than I have until now.

“For me, in games it is not good enough because now is maybe the most difficult part. The players start to recognise your game, start to know how you move , how you pass, how you shoot and the things become difficult now.

“So now I need to improve more and to work more and understand more the teams who I play against because they will understand me better, but I need to be prepared to understand better the difficulties they can have.”

Juventus could let Manchester United target Adrien Rabiot leave this summer after just one year at the club, according to reports.

Manchester United have been in the transfer headlines for weeks now as they are seemingly linked with every player that is in Europe and not happy at their respective club, and it seems that they are at it again.

They have been linked with a move for Philippe Coutinho in recent weeks, with all indications suggesting that he is keen on a move to the Premier League, but over the past few days there has been talk that the United may switch their attentions once the transfer window opens up, with Rabiot now on the list.

Rabiot, 25, joined Juventus on a free transfer after allowing his Paris Saint-Germain contract to expire in June 2019, but his move has not really worked out and the six-capped France international has completed just eight 90-minute Serie A fixtures this season.

He has remained a target of Manchester United, particularly now that they are seeking to build a side that is once again capable of challenging for all the major trophies.

Tuttmercatoweb claim that while the Frenchman’s “technical and physical” skills aren’t in question, his “attitude and desire” aren’t up to scratch for Juve bosses, and the Italians are ready to listen to offers for Rabiot.

Bonuses take the Frenchman’s contract to just shy of £200,000-a-week in Turin, which any potential suitor would have to match, and Juve chiefs would want a transfer fee of at least £26million for the 25-year-old.

It is a massive shock to see that Rabiot has not impressed over in Juventus, so for that £26 million that he is reportedly going for, it would be a bargain for the club.

He is a top player that United fans would like to see on a weekly basis, and a player that would improve this midfield, as we said, he would be a top-class signing from the club if they are able to beat off the likes of Arsenal for his services.
