High-priced star ‘wants Chelsea move’ to play Champions League football – £200k-a-week terms agreed
Wesley Fofana is becoming increasingly unsettled at Leicester and feels the club are pricing him out of a move to Chelsea.
Raheem Sterling, Marc Cucurella and Kalidou Koulibaly are the only three big-named players that has arrived this summer – as Thomas Tuchel has struggled to sign his top targets
Thomas Tuchel knows that he needs to add a couple more defenders to the side over the next few weeks – with reports that the German wants to find a long-term replacement for the aging Thiago Silva
And there are still many rumours in the media that the club are very interested in a deal for Fofana
Leicester have set an asking price of a fee in the region of £80m to £85m – as they do not want to lose the player this summer – but that has not stopped Chelsea from making their moves for the player
Recent reports in the media have claimed that Chelsea and Fofana have now agreed personal terms worth a reported £200,000-a-week – and now all there is left to do is agree that fee between both clubs
The 21-year-old centre-back wants to play in the Champions League to increase his chances of being picked for France at the World Cup this winter.
He wants to follow in the footsteps of Didier Drogba – a player with legendary status in Fofana’s hometown of Marseille – by playing his football at Stamford Bridge.
But according to the Daily Mail – he believes that Leicester are pricing him out of that dream move to Stamford Bridge – a switch that is keen to make
Fofana is a brilliant talent – but a move to Chelsea would mean more game time on the bench – which would mean less chance of going to the world cup later this season.
It would be a massive move for the lad to make – but again – the money that is being talked about is crazy – far too much for the lad at this stage of his career
