Frenchman’s imminent move to Chelsea on £200,000-a-week deal ‘is crazy’

Chelsea fans have been told that the possible signing of Wesley Fofana will be ‘crazy’

Chelsea are in dire need of adding some more depth to the squad over the course of the transfer window and there has been alot of speculation that Fofana is the player Thomas Tuchel wants

The young Frenchman is regarded as one of the best young talents in the Premier League and is making all the right noises over at Leicester City – who are very eager to keep hold of the player

It has been claimed in recent days that Fofana has agreed a £200,000-a-week move to Stamford Bridge – but has not been able to complete his move because Leicester are not willing to let him leave for anything less than his asking price of £85M

And amid all the speculation – Jones thinks it is crazy that Chelsea could end up paying more than £80m to sign Fofana – Speaking to GIVEMESPORT, the transfer insider said: “It’s crazy, really. I mean, we are genuinely looking at here one of, if not the biggest, deal we’ve ever seen for a defender.

“That’s how significant this transfer is starting to look now. It’s mad that this is where it’s ended up”

We totally agree with Jones and do believe that it is crazy that Chelsea will be paying so much money for a talent that has done pretty much nothing in the game

But that is how desperate they are becoming right now

Tuchel may say that this is not a panic buy – but spending so much money on the lad simply to add numbers to the squad – it seems like they are panicking

Fofana would be a good arrival – but not for the money that is being talked about
