£20 million Blues target Fraser ‘tells friends’ he wants to sign for Arsenal this summer?
Bournemouth striker Ryan Fraser has reportedly told friends he would like to sign for Arsenal this summer, with Chelsea also linked.
With Gunners boss Unai Emery seeking to add a bit more width and creativity to his Gunners attack, there has been some speculation in the media over the past few weeks which have suggested the Gunners could make a move to try and sign Fraser for a fee of £25 million.
Emery is keen to add some pace and creativity to his Gunners attack next season as he looks to push on from a fifth placed Premier League finish and has been impressed by the performances of Fraser.
Fraser scored seven goals and registered 14 assists this term and the Scotland international has also caught the attentions of Chelsea, who are also reportedly ready to make a move for his services if their transfer ban gets postponed or overturned this month.
But despite the interest from Chelsea, Football Insider report that the Scotland international wants to secure a switch to the Emirates Stadium, and has reportedly told his friends that of his interest in a deal.
Fraser has had a very impressive season for Bournemouth this season and is seriously ready to take that next step up to the highest level of the game. And with Arsenal just the type of club that suits his style of play, he would be best off signing for the Gunners.
Emery will not have a lot of money to spend but £25 million on this guy could be a risk worth taking, especially as he is already proving that he is very capable of playing in the Premier League.
Th Gunners have a habit of buying from abroad so maybe its time to make a move for a winger like Fraser, who was a creative force for the Cherries last season.
And the fact that he would only cost £20 million could mean that Arsenal have some extra funds in the bank to improve other areas of the pitch.
