New Newcastle United signing Fraser announces he wants to help Joelinton this season!
Ryan Fraser has vowed to help new Newcastle United team-mate Joelinton find the back of the net.
Joelinton only hit one Premier League goal last season after a £40m transfer to the club – and there are many out there that believe he will once again fail to find the back of the net on a regulatr basis.
Fraser, who arrived at the club on a free transfer is regarded very highly in the Premier League and is expected to become a real source of goals for the Toon when he fully finds his feet at the club.
And he has opened up and admits that wants to help improve that tally of Joelinton this season, he was quoted on the Chronicle: “Joelinton is such a nice guy, he’s not big-time, he’s down to earth and willing to work hard.
“For me as a player he is only going to get better.
“With me coming in I’m trying to help and looking to get into the box where he wants the ball.
“I will ask him where he wants the ball, if I’m here, I will ask him which spot he wants the ball in, sometimes it will come off, sometimes it won’t.
“He is a player who wants to improve everyday.
“I like that and respect it massively because there’s not many players like him out there nowadays. That is a massive thing.”
If Newcastle can get the best out of Joelinton and Callum Wilson this season, they may well push for a Europa League place.
And if they can get the best out of Fraser, he will add 10-15 goals to the side himself.
